DISLIKES/WEAKNESS: Coffee (Cherry Cream in incredibly caffeine sensitive, often shaking and bouncing off the walls with a single cup of the stuff. Should she drink coffee after drinking too much alcohol, or worse, drink a mixed drink or spiked coffee, She becomes an increasingly obnoxious party girl until she's down for the count. Due to this, Cream prefers Tea over Coffee whenever the gang goes to Madame Mocha's Cafe.)

Diana Dastardly:
Diana and Cream aren't just best friends. They're each others ride or die, Bar buddies, and on Diana's side, a mother figure she never got to have growing up. Cherry is slightly older than Diana, and while that doesn't necessarily always amount to being more mature, Cream is a lot more knowledgeable about the world than Diana, often correcting her when she spews blatantly false information. Yes, it seems like no matter what Diana and friends say or do, Cream is always there to give them a firm, yet loving push in the right direction.
Despite their closeness, Diana does often have an issue with Cream's generous drinking habit. Often calling her out for overdoing it and Cream, in term, arguing with a red face. Despite these differences, Diana and Cream are incredibly close and would truly die for one another.
Doodle:
While Doodle and Cream aren't exactly the closest friends, they have been shown to hang out on occasion without Diana present, much to Diana's surprise. The two are fairly good drinking buddies when it comes to it, Doodle often outdrinking her on account if, you know, being a Hammerspsce hat and all.
On top of that, these two are also quite fond of Cigars, often puffing on Doodle's secret stash of cuban Cigars. Notably, the two are known be act like rich, uppercrust snobs when describing the flavor and nodes of each Cigar as if its the finest art they've witnessed at a museum.
Nickel*:
When Diana isnt hanging out with her, Cream can almost always be found with Nickel getting up to wacky hijinks with one another. Truly joined at the hip, Cream and Nickel are incredibly close friends since long before Diana came along when they were children. As such, the two can often be found Diana-less most of the time. Be it at the Ragtime Soda Bar, or at fancy flapper parties in the Chilly town of Winterburg, the two are a near inseparable pair of friends.
Platonic. Friends.
Yes, mind you, while the two are close to each other, and one happens to be a boy and one a girl, the two of them are completely platonic. Nickel, mentioned before, is obsessed with Diana, head over heels in love with her, and Cream wholeheartedly wishes for the two to find love eventually. Cream, meanwhile, is happily in a relationship with Trey Bullclef, the current Live Pianist working at Ragtime Soda Bar.
Raspberry*:
Cream is often quite critical of Raspberry when she begins to grow closer to Diana's friend group, as shes one of the few people who can easily see through her snobby, holier-than-thou personality she puts on to seem important. In truth, Cream can see the sadness in Raspberry that she refuses to accept, and on that note, she's a lot more reserved in talking to her than someone like Nickel or even Diana would be.
Mister Seltzer*:
Cream is Larry's customer of the year 6 years running now, almost dropping by his Bar on a nightly basis. Of course its no surprise, given that Larry is one of the best cocktail makers in the entire Tooniverse. Due to her frequent visits, Larry no longer bothers asking Cream what she'd like--Shes gone so many times that je already knows what to server her up on any given day of the week. Although usually, there is one specific drink she takes above em all: "Shirley Temple II", a classic Shirley Temple with 3 shots of Cranberry Vodka and a bit of Whipped cream on top.
According to Larry himself: Cherry has roughly paid enough over the course of 5 years to keep Ragtime Soda open for 6-7 months without a single customer. Must be some quality alcohol!
Miss Honeydew*:
Cream and Teresa are very close friends due to their upbringing. Having both come from families in holy spaces, Cream and Teresa can often find themselves talking up a storm about just about anything. While Teresa is roughly half a fecade older than Cream, even she often finds herself crying her woes out to the "group mom", and Cream is more than willing to be her shoulder to cry on.
Mephisto with Sin and Virtue*:
Cherry and Mephisto rarely interact, and have little chemistry other than being friends of Diana. Mephisto is a previous business partner of Cherry's dad from many years ago, but we've long since past that.
The two of them are rather excellent dancers, with Mephisto being quite a showman with his elegant steps, while Cream is a master of Swing dancing, being labeled by Mephisto as "One sassy sister!"
Sherry*:
Similar to Mephisto, Cherry isnt exactly the closest with Sherry, though respects her sexual empowerment through claiming her own body.
She gets bad vibes from her and is one of the few characters willing to step up to her, even if she's the devil, and shows no fear while doing it.
Patrick*:
Patrick can often be found after a long day sitting stoic and offscreen by Cream, Diana and Nickel. Never one to be positive, Pat is usually there to make everyone's drinking experience a bit worse. Of course, Cream being ever the optimistic flapper, often drunkenly telling Pat off in a way only a mother you never had could. While he rarely shows gratitude for it, Cream can tell when she gets through to Pat when his trademark frown becomes a thin, stoic Smile.
Valentine*:
Much like Patrick, Valentine csn be found drinking her problems away side by side to her "client", though much like Diana, Valentine is a lightweight and often taps out fast brfore blacking out and being dragged home by an irritated Patrick.
When both drunk, Cream and Valentine can be found coddling one another and Cream in particular consuling Valentine about her problems.
Maddie*:
Much like Doodle, Cream has no true ill will with Maddie, and simply doesnt hang out with her on account of Diana's otherworldly hatred of her. Despite this, Cream is friendly enough with Maddie when when Diana isn't.
Cream and Maddie are amicable enough to know one another's names, and during a secret santa Christmas party, Cream was surprised to find that Maddie had gifted her an Aged Cabernet Sauvigon. Maddie never let her knos how she knew this was her favorite thing...
Hemlock*:
Cream finds the Butterfly incredibly irritating and untrustworthy the moment Hemlock showed up on the scene. As such, After being taunted by the creep for far too long on screen, Cream will usually punch, stomp, crush, or stab the Bug to death as a sort of running gag.
Trey Bullclef:
Cream Soda's Boyfriend, her Sweetheart, and her one-and-only. Whenever shes not with her friends, she's almost always with her future hubby, often laying down on top of his piano like Charlie Brown's Lucy. Trey is much more a side character in the grand scheme of the story, but that doesn't make him any less human or any lwss important a being in the grand scheme of the Tooniverse. Even the group mom needs a shoulder to cry on now and then, and when that time comes, she knows Trey will be there to serenade her back to her feet in no time.
Summerville, USA**: Summerville is well known throughout the USA in Diana's universe for their pristine beaches, home to lovely mermaids, the eternally Summer-Autumn Cedar Park, the animator friendly skyline made up of distant red buildings; but one thing that sets them aside from all the other beautiful cities on the East Coast is their Soda production. Soda, as mentioned in a few previous posts, is an alcoholic equivalent in Diana's world, and one major producer of some of Summerville's best sodas is the Soda Family, including Cream.
The Sodas are well know for their delicious...sodas that go down smooth and taste like a party in your mouth. So, its no surprise thst after being surrounded by alcohol most her life that Cream hit the bottle as soon as she was legally able to. Cream, like her caring parents, is well known for her charity work and generosity around town.

APPEARANCE:
Body:
Cherry stands at an average 167.64 cm, or 5 feet 5 inches. Being African American, her skin is a creamy brown, and she has Brown eyes. Her lips are larger and more pronounced than Diana's, and she wears a Coral pink lipstick.
Cherry wears her black hair in a half afro, half stylized puff with her bangs trimmed and combed to the side.
Clothing/Accessories:
Starting with her Head, Cherry wears an afro comb that is stylised to look like a Cherry Cream float, one of her favorite desserts. On her neck she has a genuine white pearl necklace. She wears a Gold band on her left wrist, and under her hair she has golden hoop earrings that match it.
Cherry wears a Red dress with Orange cream colored bubbles all over it, and with a Zipper on the middle of its back. She wears a matching pair of Orange cream heels with Tiny Cherry charms on the top of the Toe area. She wears a pair of Gray Stockings with a garterbelt connecting them to her waist. Her Garterbelts have two peach charms buttoned onto either leg.
Emblem:
Cream's emblem is a large, orange cream bubble that has her first and middle Initial sloshing around on the inside like ice cubes.
Cherry wears Black Gloves.

(Cherry drinks throughout the fights with enemies. The more she drinks, the stronger her attacks become--but at a cost. Cherry's drunken stupor will severely decrease her accuracy, and if she drinks too much, she will get a poison like debuff that can only be cured by one of Mr. Seltzer's cure all ales.)
RANGE: Buzz•Bombs
Now with 100% more alc/vol!!
Cherry takes aim with a Buzz Bomb cocktail, similar to Mario's throwable hammer in Ttyd. She can aim it with clean precision like a Baseball. However, the longer she drinks, the more difficult it is to land a hit.
Despite them being multiple colors, there's no difference in the strength of each Buzz Bomb.
MELEE: Shatter-Nay
What is this, a Wedding? What the Mazel Tov!?
After drinking enough wine, Cherry will smash the bottle over an enemies head for a massive chunk of damage, leaving her with a pretty dangerous broken handle to stab at enemies with. Like her Ranged moves, Cherry's accuracy is dampened as the time wears on.
Enemies hit with her Shatter-Nay are likely to recieve a Bleed debuff that deals damage over time.

"All eyes on Me, please! Thank you, loves! I'm not just some sidekick in this story, ya feel me? Nah, I'm my OWN girl with my OWN dreams. So don't you go discounting me, Baby! When Cherry's around, there's only Sweetness, never sour! Need to vent? Don't feel Dour! I'm not the star, im the queen, I'm a booze slayin' machine; Lookout, world! Here comes a heaping helping of Cherry Cream!"
Sassy, Sweet, and full of enough liquor to put down a parade of pink elephants--Cherry Cream Soda is the best bubbly friend a girl could ask for. Cream is the defacto adult of Diana's clique, being the one dubbed "group mom" by everyone else. She can be stern when necessary, or gentle, too. Never too busy for her friends (unless she is), Cherry is everyones shoulder to cry on in times on need, only ever asking for love (and sometimes for her bill to be paid) in return.
Cherry is Diana's best not Hat shaped friend, having befriended Diana at the age of 9. As such, she knows all the ins and outs of the majestic creature that is Diana. Whenever Diana needs a pep talk, or needs to be smacked in the head to avoid doing something astronomically stupid, Cherry is bound to have something in mind.
Cherry an often be found with the two most important men (outside of her daddy) in her life around her at all times. Theres Nickel, her best friend right beside Diana, and her boyfriend, Trey Bullclef. Nickel, much like Diana, often comes to Cherry for help regarding his daily woes, often leaving before hearing her advice all the way through, much to her chagrin. When not hanging out with her friends, Cream can be found laying on Trey's Piano while he plays, or even be found dsncing on the dance floor while Trey plays.
Cherry is quite popular with the bachelors of Summerville, with many often dropping to their knees and being overly chivalrous in her presence. However, it's unclear if it's because of her looks and attitude, or her parent's money they find attractive--not that she really care either way, given that Trey already has her heart.
Despite Diana's clear disdain for Alcohol, she lets her best friend's drinking slide; Not because she finds it acceptable, mind you, but because despite not enjoying seeing Cream get shit faced, she understands Cream wholeheartedly, and knows that unlike her mother, Cream is a truly good hearted person who just happens to have a bad vice.
Cherry is one of the few characters in Summerville, let alone the world of Diana Dastardly, who has a car. She often finds that she's a better driver drunk than sober (Warning: this is ot sn endorsement. Drunk driving is totally awesome and cool and genuinely makes you a better driver but you probably...maybe shouldn't do it). ((AHEM...Doodle here. Im legally required to tell you guys that this is, in fact, a joke)). But yeah, Cream does in fact have a car. And with an astonishing zero tickets on her record, despite her drinking, constant speeding, and assisting Diana in the occasional crime or two, Cream prides herself in her Clean Car and even cleaner record.
Prior to Doodle learning how to Fast Travel around the world, Diana and the gang rely on Cherry to drive between the 4 main cities the first part of the story takes place in. Given how the cities of Springton, Summerville, Fallsborro and Winterburg are actually states apart from one another, Cherry is originally the only person capable of getting the job done.

TRIVIA:
-Cream Soda's original design was based more on Betty boop, but i wasn't really a fan of the hair i gave her. The design that was Originally Cherry went on to become the design of Dorothy Deetz, Diana's estranged mother.
-Cream Soda and Nickel, especially their relationship, are loosely based off of early season Fairly Oddparents Chester and AJ. Often the two of them will hang out without Diana, much like Chester and AJ would hang out without Timmy.
-Cherry's weapons, the Buzz Bombs, are based on the real life Tennis ball shaped cocktail "Buzz Balls". More specifically, they're a crude molotov made from flammable alcohol, A sturdy, cartoon match stick, and of course, a Buzz Ball can.
-Cream acts as Nickel's wingman, trying hopelessly to get it to click in Diana's brain that one of her closest confidants is head over heels for her. Naturally, Diana is oblivious to this.
-Cream Soda has gone through one of the biggest changes throughout my time developing Diana Dastardly. Originally, Cream and Diana both disliked Alcohol, Cream in particular known for being the lightweight friend who couldnt hold her liquor well. That has, since then, been retconned completely.
-Cream Soda, along with her parents, are named after several different Sodas and or seltzer related beverages. There's Cherry Cream (Cherry Soda and Cream Soda), her father, Charles Club Soda (a type of specialized Seltzer water for country club use), and Acai Alani-Nu (Alani-Nu being a workout energy drink over here in the USA)
-Cream Soda is the best dancer in the group, with Mephisto being a close second. Being a flapper, Cream is best know for her swing dancing.
-Cream, as mentioned above, is in fact a Flapper! She's based on the girls of the same name from the 1920s, albeit a century later.
-Creams original name before settling into her Soda motiff was Lola. This was a reference to the song "Copacobana" by Barry Manilow
-Cream Soda's catchphrase is the word baby. Ususally, she'll end her sentences with the word as a term of endearment to whomever shes talking to in the given moment. This is a nod to Soace Dandy's Dandy, who also usually calls everyone baby when referring to them.
-Creams Car isn't based on any car type in particular, although the Brand name, Ferd, is a joke name based on a person from ifunny. The logo is meant to parody the American Car company Ford, as well.
-Cream is based off of the following characters:
•Jenny Pizza (steven universe) is where she gets her hair and earrings.
•"Flappers" in general for her dress
•Peter Griffin (Family Guy) for her drunken comedic shenanigans

So, ususally when drawing, i tend to play music that i feel best represents my character im drawing st the moment to feel further connected to them. It may sound silly, but it's one of my favorite ways to getting absorbed in my artwork. So, going forward, i will refer to these songs as a character's "Theme".

If there was any song that fit Cream Soda, THIS is it. When i think of Cherry, i cant help but think of this song. The Electroswing aspect of it, the Vocals, the MV having s bunch of people just break out into dance like the worlds a musical--all of these went into Cream Soda's very essence. It just screams "Get up and Dance!" And i truly cant think of a better parallel for Cream than that!

Another Electroswing masterpiece from Caravan Palace, this one a much more recent song. This song is another song that really just oozes the feel i get from Cherry. The funky music solo where the demon and girl dance in the dark, the lyrics of empowerment, the peppy upbeat lyrics--it all blends together to make a song that anyone could break down to at a club.

When imagining Cherry talk in my mind, i imagine her voice being a bit of a mix of Jenny Pizza from Steven Universe, with Lashawna from Total Drama. If yoj can imagine the sassiness of Lashawna mixed with the bubbliness of Jenny, it comes out pretty nice mentally. At least, i think so. And if you dont? Do something about it, bub.
