Description
Huzzah! No more cross-linking!I'm sorry this page took for-ever, but I was restricted from gaming and coloring and all that stuff for about two weeks before the final exam (most of my correspondence being from school). The good news is that Page 42 is already inked and in the process of being colored.
Lemme know what your favorite panel is, least favorite panel, favorite dialogue, and what your favorite page of the comic has been so far (and why you chose it).

This is really an interesting piece. The story seems good and each frame is well-composed. It's definitely engaging and suspenseful-I want to know what happens next!
The only thing I could criticize would be the 5th frame, where they're talking about not giving up-The bubbles are very confusing. I think you should have the dialogue for each character on their respective sides and then go down-like reading a book, left to right for the first lines and then go down to new bubbles underneath. I hope you sort of see what I'm saying?
Good job!

Yeah, but I did try that once on page 3 of issue 2 and got the reverse for what I was going for. Peoples' eyes tend to drift to the nearest bubble on a comic page rather than from the left to the right in a truly orthodox fashion. While left-right eye movement is fundamental to any layout, it doesn't rule the day like it does in prose.

I was wondering what happened to you. Glad to see the Vixens posted here full size & full glory.
Favorite Panel - I think the last one. Everything including the sides of the panel work together to frame the picture and the looks on the their faces are neat.
Least favorite - number 4. It is kind of a long shot that is not very exciting. I understand the storytelling intent to show that the villain has left the heroes alone to suffer their fate because even though he can throw a henchman in the cuisinart and laugh about it, the sight of heroes being gooified would turn his stomach. Villains do this kind of thing, we don't know why but we love them for it. Anyway, I think it could have been done a little better with a tighter shot such as him looking over his shoulder while walking through a doorway. If I have to pic one, I choose this one even though the background work is great.
Favorite dialogue: The henchman in the first panel. He's golden. I'll miss him.
Favorite page? Probably the last one I faved where Emerald is climbing out of the east river. Every shot was right on in that page.

Thanks, Egg! It seems that folks have been a bit sluggish to comment on this. It's nice to have your input.
To be honest, I thought you'd like panel 4 because it has a spiffy background. My personal peeve on the page is the next panel, since there's nothing really special about it except two bust shots .
What this place needs is a union!

The background on panel 4 is great but it is such a far shot that it seems kind of awkward to me. If the rat was pulled a little closer to the camera and looking over his shoulder, it would have looked better to me but this is just giving personal opinion here.
I tell you, I think people in general are sluggish or hesitant to comment or fave on comics. Pinups are just more popular. It's like everyone has the attention span of a gerbil or something. I feel the same when I post one of my comics and it's not very encouraging.

well, be that as it may, at least people view the stuff. We're steadily climbing toward 100,000 hits. I just kinda wish I could get more feedback on whether or not I'm doing it correctly.

There is a site called penciljack.com. It is a forum you can get feedback on. They are harsh but fair.

hey, thanks, man! You're right. Penciljack's forum is a very professional crowd, and I'm sheepish to submit my own stuff, but I can learn a lot from the techniques and issues discussed.

they're not all professional (and by that I mean they are not all that good) but they do all have opinions and are willing to share them.
