Description I just...I just felt like I had to do something.
If I was there, I'd have killed the monster myself. But I wasn't. I just had to sit there and hear about it.

Those children were murdered and I couldn't do a damned thing.
....They are with God in paradise now. I guess that's the only solace we can take at this point...
...I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say.

....Hold your loved ones.

Wow. Great drawing. What that day broght was nothing but dispair. I thought 9-11 all over again. They try to knock us (USA) down, we will join together and fight. And my whole history class heard the whole story that day and we all combined crying. The whole school was silent and crying. God bless those families. God bless. Thank you for making this piece. :')

Very nice piece Joel.

I didn't know what to think when I heard of the news. I think I was more disgusted than anything. Once everything settled down was when everything started to hit home.

I had a little flash back of 9-11.

I was in a captain in in a firefighter academy at the time, and my men looked to me for guidance. I was only 18, I didn't know what to tell them. I joined the ARMY the next day. 11B.

Its amazing that people step up when a tragedy occurs.

I remember 9-11 like it was yesturday. Fifth grade, math class sitting next to a girl named Chelsea. We had the classroom tv on for background noise when the news alert came on. We watched live when the second plane hit.

now, I'm not a fan of religion at all
but still, thanks for not using such event as some sort of propaganda grounds like so many others are doing

it's a tragedy, and seeing those people using that to promote the "reintroduction of religion in schools" (which was never removed anyways) is downright disgusting

It is a bit late however, the Conneticut shooting...I can not agree with you more.

I could not believe it, the murderer was 20, that's an awfully young age to be doing something like that. Not saying there is an age for murder however what I am saying is that these are the sort of people that I only feel bad for, they need help more than we do. I feel bad for the, because of the actions that they cause, they don't know that what they are doing is wrong. I believe that there will be a time when it will be possible to stop them from making these choices and prevent these events from happening. You're right, for now we have to hold on to our loved ones, pray for everyone today.

What bothers me is that the murderer had aspergers syndrome, people like him are giving others with this condition a bad name. He made my relatives worry more because of this, my mom talks to me more often because she thinks I am going to do something wrong, when i'm not.

Philippians 4:4-7 "4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the PEACE of God, which trancends ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

I can't express the grief I felt when first hearing about what happened that day, but we can all still look up with hope, knowing that all things work together for good.

Such a tragic event. I first heard about it from this pic and couldn't help it not to think about that maniac in Norway last summer. I never understood these people, why do they claim they "Fight the Power", they bring "freedom" when they do nothing else but kill the people they say they're protecting. I'm gonna sound like some kind of crazed maniac but I don't care.

In the end what makes us human? Do we not bleed like the common animal? Yes we do. Do we not run when we are scared? Yes we do. But what makes us stand out is our ability to understand the meaning of Good...and Evil. I never cry when I hear that mobsters or murderers are killed, because they have abandoned what makes us human. You sir, are or were a soldier. You know what guns can do. You know that the trigger can end everything. A small click and lights go dark, and the rest is silence. But other people, they cannot resist the calling, the urge to be a god. Their minds can barely comprehend the power that the flex of a single musle can have over life. They give in to the calling and become...that. Some say that we cannot change human nature, that by changing it we would become "not-human". I ask them to look at the fuel of human life. Ambition. Will. Education. The three things that make us what we are. We have sculpted the fiercest mountains, climbed the highest peaks, build magnificent churches and glorious pyramids. Those that say that we cannot change must find find the three elements and strive for the greater understanding. Some fall in depths of abyssal darkness and are lost forever, but there are those that see the brightest light in the most destructive darkness.

And now to end this already excessive string of words...with a quote:

Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf an slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks"What are we to do?"..... The only possible answer is,"Look for a cure". Untill we are cured there is nothing we can do. And since we don't believe we are sick, there an be no cure.

I don't believe this...how could a sick monster just shoot elementary school kids like that? First the Batman movie shooting, now this...I just want all of these shootings to stop.

Not to mention that this also happened on my birthday...it was supposed to be a great day, but that monster completely ruined the mood. My heart goes out to the poor children and their parents...

I learned about the fact from this pic. I... don't know what to say. I'm at loss of words. Still, I wish to thank you for this drawing here; also, I understand when you say you wish you could kill the one who's responsible for this, but it's not our judgement to make. That would be vengeance, nothing more; we can set our hearts to way better sentiments, while not ever forgetting about how weak and helpless we all are.

There's nothing to do but try to endure and hope we never see such a thing again. God bless you, sir. You are, as always, a wonderful person, and your art brings happiness to those you share it with.
