Beautiful composition. Can just picture it printed out on a huge canvas.

I like these two similar fractals: this one and 'acific'. Unusual and cool shapes and I like the tonal colors in both. As someone has already stated, they have a UF look to them. The two programs are getting a bit closer in style, though UF can do layering, transparency, etc. It will be interesting to see how Apo develops over time.

I should say, it will be interesting to see how you and others develop Apo over time.

Thanks Kat! I'd really like to do layering and masking with flame fractals. I think it would open up a lot more possibilities!

Yeah, it would! There's a great project for you...

Another amazing fractal, I don't even know where to begin to understand this kind of fractal.

I really love this smooth unusual style.

looks much like a UF fractal.. artistically, I liked the other one better (I think the name was Pasific), but technique-wise, this is also as impressive.. I also like the colors of this one, makes me want to drink coffee

Very interesting, haven't seen a fractal quite like your last two.

I love these folk-artish colors and the neat, clean lines. And it's so....molecular. Fun!

The colours are bright and vibrant on my monitor.

When I open it in Photoshop the brightest color I can find is #7D7340.

JoelFaber In reply to ExtremeJordan [2007-05-20 21:48:12 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but the way I see it there is plenty of contrast. On an older computer I've got here it looks rather washed out and bland. Unfortunately that's the way it is sometimes when everyone has different monitors producing different colours.

Great contrast of squares and circles and also the touch of blue at the bottom. Nice muted colours and an interesting image.

Well, there are a few unreleased variations in there Are you still working on Combustion?

After I lost the intertubes I went back and rewrote everything and integrated python.

But I ran into the same problem as before. I cannot get rendering working. I guess it's my horrible grasp of how it actually works but I've chalked it up to "I'm an idiot" and half way cancelled the project.

It's like an optical illusion. Really cool design and colors..and a surprising illusion of depth.

My brother =MichaelFaber wrote most of them. I mostly just help optimize. I'm not sure what he is going to do with them.

I like it, although, I wish it were a bit brighter. I understand how you created the squares, but how the circles?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoelFaber In reply to Lovely-Demented [2007-05-20 21:39:23 +0000 UTC]

There are unreleased variations in this flame. The circles are produced with one of them.
