Description
18 x 24 inches, Pen on Paper. I started this drawing almost 30 years ago after seeing a random, bulbous, tree-like shape in a pool of oil on the ground in a parking lot. I liked the overall shape, so when I got home, I started a drawing based on it, which included the middle portion. I was not overly fond of it, so I put it away. While thumbing through old drawings earlier this year, I came upon this one and decided to work on it some more, adding the border, etc. Here is a link to the early version:Related content

Love the finished piece!! The overall cacophony and glow to the edge of the tree and border really holds it all together. Also love that the tree shape is extending into the border at the bottom. Inspired!
