Description Tonight's experiment is with SickleYield 's "Rigged Water Iray 2" and SoulessEmpathy's "Bar Interior ".  I applied the Iray materials from "Rigged Water Iray 2" to replace the  "Bar Interior" materials and used the default environment from DAZ Studio. The render only took 15 min and I am amazed on the quality "Rigged Water Iray 2".

It needed to be generous for the figure to fit in it

Thank you,
I tried the default glass from "Rigged Water Iray 2" and was so impressed by it realism that I had to create this image.

I love the Rigged Water Iray (from what I've seen of it. Can't wait to get it).

Superbly realistic! Great idea with the figure reflection. I couldn't find a Rigged Water Iray 2 though, just the first Rigged Water Iray (at Daz).

Thank you,
I was super impressed by "Rigged Water Iray 2's" realism.  I think it will be out very soon, because it was more than ready. SickleYield was nice enough to let Beta test it.

I think that lil tumblers is going to be overfilled

Other than the thickness of the liquid it all looks photo like

Thank you,
The pour is the biggest problem since it's attached to the splash, so I thought I would use it as an asset and put the figure in it

Really how long did it take you to do this? Because if I was even going to recreate this it would take me about a year. This is amazing

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to Lorphen [2017-03-15 16:50:34 +0000 UTC]

It really didn't take that long,  maybe a hour total.

I just used the glass and pour from  "Rigged Water Iray 2".  Changed the liquid to "Rum" using the preset material.  Applied the preset pose to a Victoria 7 figure and added the bikini to hide the "naughty bits".  Scaled the figure to fit in the pour.  Then added the bottles from "Bar Interior", changed the materials of the glass and bottles to the materials from ""Rigged Water Iray 2".  Then I added a camera, turned on the DOF and rendered.

I was surprised by the realism of the reflections considering it uses the default environment dome and no additional lights

Excellent...

It was only by looking at the list of objects you used for this picture that I noticed the diving girl! (Where on earth is that bikini?!?)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to Nihil-Novi-Sub-Sole [2017-03-15 17:07:03 +0000 UTC]

Thank you,
I just used the bikini to cover the "naughty bits" so the image wouldn't get flagged as adult.  But I may have been able to get away without the bikini since the figure is so subtle

Great stuff!  I would NEVER have thought of this! Clever!

Question-- I can't apply NGS to anything but human figures, how do you get it to apply to objects like this?

EDIT:  DUH, I just found the human figure in the stream.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to Colinscrod [2017-03-15 17:04:54 +0000 UTC]

Thank you,The idea came from just playing with the supplied presets of "Rigged Water Iray 2". I was concerned that the figure got lost in the refraction of the liquor, but then decided I liked the subtle look of it.

You can use NGS using the manual apply script and shader.  I only used it on the figure, all the glass and liquid materials are from "Rigged Water Iray 2"

Thank you,
It's been a hard day so a lot of scotch was needed (plus she needed something to dive in)
