Description
So I know quite a few people have commented on the lack of femininity with this rendition, but I did this intentionally to display her persona a little better.She grew up in a fucked up household for most of her childhood (that's where the scars are from) until her grandfather 'intervened' by soundly beating the shit out of her abusive stepfather and decided to raise her. The rosary beads she wears were her grandfather's, who was a devout Irish Catholic. After he died, she spent a lot of her life by herself and picked up work as a construction worker/carpenter, so she can give two fucks about looking pretty, and she's skinny, but built like a brick shithouse.
On the technical side, the way I drew her dreads are a little different because the more I looked at white people with dreads, the more I noticed that they don't really ball up at the ends, but sort of taper off.

Looks AWESOME to me!
And good God. People need to grow up. Not *every* woman needs to be dripping with femininity fer cryin' out loud! o_O;
There's a time and a place for wondering if you look good, IF that's your deal. The battlefield and the construction site? Are *not* those places.

I really like the rugged look in her face...her overall build makes her a pretty tough looking character. But you kept the feminine qualites well intact.

I always love it when people describe their images in that detail...it always brings such personality to the image.

Incredible as usual. I wish I had this kind of talent ! @_@
I adore strong women...I find the idea quite liberating.
Women can be tough as well, like my mother.
My mother is an RN, and she can help people *twice* her size to get up.
Seriously.

Definitely. That's why if you notice I always tend to draw women with an attitude or strong looking, and almost all of them have a strong-sounding name.
As that goes, a woman can swing an axe just as effectively as any bloke!!!

Yeah I almost felt like I was over-doing it with the celtic stuff, but aw what the hell.
She doesn't have an Irish accent though, it's more Bostonian (like me).
