It looks like the sister of ( Thza with some color notes) .. the texture which you done is the same as the other one ( Thza with some color notes) also.. here u didn't use green, and tried to make same values of colors by other colors. I like that you set up some factors and make several art pieces from them.. good job

Thank you... Yes, I used the same basic set up for the two of them, because these were to just get a feel for which colors I would want to use on them in future pieces involving them... I'm hoping to pull together a good enough story for me to base a comic off of.

well, my opinion now will not add alot to u ..i think u already have what i may say but i will say so may be something can add, who knows
i think the most important point is to test one or 2 cadrs of ur comix .. because ur works make me wonder: what style of backgrounds and perspective of landscapes, intrial design, and archtict will he use? and how will he make these textures in all the comix pages? .. i think if u will use same brushes in all the comix that will make the reader feel bored after some pages.. ok. it was just some brainstorming.. i will tell u when i have other ideas..

Yeah, I definitely won't be using the same textures for each panel... It will depend on the mood and emotion of the scene. Like if it's a fight scene, the colors will be really intense and I would use really dense contours and shapes to make people get that feeling. A lot of the textures I use are of things I find around my house. The one I used on those two characters was a scan of an old, burnt baking sheet that I had in my kitchen. So I would do similar things to get different textures. I'm thinking the background will be photos of places I'll go around and take, based on what is needed. And I will either re-draw them or photo-manip. them to make them more muted so they won't be the main focus of each panel, you know?

yeah, i guess detalied photo is not the best for ur style..
may be monochrome backgrounds photos, or 2 colors or even 3 maximum.. i just think. may be if u draw ur backgrounds u will need to simplfie it . and make it with few colors also but more than 3 is possible in drawing.. then the texture of background is not like that on front.. that is what i imagine. i am sure u will decide the true decision in the end
