Description
Day 89 - Artwork No.90So, today, when I was returning from a rehearsal with my band, strolling through the city with the dying light painting shadows on the street, I got this idea of painting a guy in my shoes, just situated in some different, southern country. I spent hundreds of hours on the road, walking, with my bassguitar on my back (I swear it's getting heavier every year), another bag with equipment at my side, sometimes a small repro-box in the other hand. It's become a habit of sorts - tired after the gig or just a rehearsal, ears buzzing from the noise, returning home with musical ideas running through my head, remembering the most interesting rhythms. Music is a universal language which I have been learning for the last 16 years and alongside painting my art it's my most favourite activity. Well, here is just today's second doodle to close the evening with.

This setting gives off some great vibes...
Good stuff!Β Β
also on a side note, it reminds me of the tone I was trying to give my SC profile:

Sometimes I draw down my feelings of the music. Music is a great source of ideas.Β

What kind of music do you play?

With my main band it's a combination of grunge, country, pop and other genres (album coming to spotify soon). With my secondary band it's a sort of a post-rock/prog metal (but nothing as crazy as Dream Theater and such).

OH! Until I read the description I thought is was a homage to El Mariachi.Β Music is a fascinating language and you are fortunate to be able to speak it with skill.

Thanks. However, it's like with everything - I don't consider myself talented in music nor in art - I just put a lot of time end effort into it and it developed throughout the practice. (of course - if someone is deaf or blind that is a different story, but there is never late to dive into these areas and enjoy their making otherwise).

I'm reminded of the animated film American Pop (1981).

I love the depth behind the work, and the piece itself is outstanding. Keep it up, and good luck with the guitar!
