In the depths of Hogwarts Labyrinth Helga Hufflepuff from magical mural (painted by Godric Gryffindor himself, btw) shows Severus how to make new Medieval shoes, his own are so old and broken that cannot be Reparo-ed. Oh, this is so stunning, I really wish I could read the story. Oddly, my daughter who is ten and I have a story-line that we play with her stuffed animals once in awhile; there is an underground cavern under one of the greenhouses that Helga Hufflepuff created; it is full of portals to other worlds and different climates/scenes in just one cavern. There was also a tapestry of her that spoke. So strange. Anyway! This definitely looks like a piece that should be hanging in a museum or on a revered wall. I keep looking at this and seeing more things that I like; not just the mix of colors and lines, but the way each part of the whole art is finished-yet-not, giving it the look of something real and dimensional.

It reminds me of the scenes on medieval illuminated manuscripts and tapestries. I love how you incorporated the animal symbols of each house into the painting. Oh, and your Helga is beautiful!

The details here are superb! Very cool Gothic/illuminated text (?) influence. I love the patterns in the leaves, tile & exposed brick

Thanx so much) Yeah, you're right, the story is crossover of HP and Middle Ages fandom (two of teams taking part in the Fandom Battle, one of the quests was fully devoted to x-overs). A tree like the apple-tree here I saw in one of little XVIII century churches in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra ten years ago -- it was not an apple, with indefinite little berries gathered in triples, had a perfect circle of a crown and golden leaves on a dark, almost black ground. Taking photos was prohibited but I was so impressed that managed to take (an awfully awry) one.
And finally there came a good case to let my head free of this old image)

Вау, спасибо, какая круть! Никогда не попадалось раньше такого высокого разрешения, буквально каждый беленький цветуй на лугу можно рассмотреть и каждый волосок у павлина в хвосте, моя балдеть) И мне настолько к месту сейчас любое околосредневековое вдохновение, вот в самое яблочко) Спасибо!

Красотень) Какая прекрасная растительность и живность в отличие от некоторых богофф! Пифон, мой безоговорочный фаворит (вот бы нашему ГПшному Пушку такие разнопородные головы), "леопард" под седлом, собаченька на последней в углу) Сканы выше всяких похвал, подчищенные, наверное.
