Just a guess, but are these sessions to brainwash, sorry, I mean teach patients who have shrunk how to behave like the infants they appear to be?

Thatβs a fun idea! When I wrote it, I imagined that the patients were normal sized people, that needed to work out some issues from childhood. So the psychiatrist worked out a special type of regression therapy, shrinking the patients and letting them wear a diaper. She turn them back to normal size when their session was finished.
If they happened to start needing diapers in everyday life, she would up their therapy sessions to 2-3 times a week
I like your idea though. That could be a fun story arc!
