Description

Back when Revenge of the Island originally aired, Mike was easily my favorite because I found him to be relatable in terms of how he suffered from a mental dysfunction like myself (him having MPD while I have Autism).
In a post All-Stars world however, while Mike is still pretty high up on my rankings both regarding the 2nd Generation cast as well as the whole franchise in general, it's pretty much now for how Mike has become a character in which I ultimatley liked the idea of him more than the actual character himself (that, and his plot with Mal in All-Stars was the only thing keeping me from giving up on that season after shit starting hitting the fan around the time of Heather's elimination). Portraying a character with a mental disorder was a commendable effort, but the writers proved that this show wasn't capable of doing so (especially when one finds out that they botched Tom McGillis' original concept of having Mike's MPD being portrayed more seriously).

If anyone wants to see a more realistic portrayal of mental dysfunctions on an animated series, than go watch Steven Universe which has fairly accurate portrayals of Autism in the forms of Pearl & Peridot (even though both have never been officially confirmed to have Autism).
