"Hey, Dad!" Felicity greets her father as she gets into the back of his car with Amanda following close behind.

"So how was your last day as Year Eights, girls?" Seamus twists around in the driver's seat to ask.

Felicity glances at Amanda and grins before leaning forward to face her father again. "Oh, Dad! It was freaking awesome!" Amanda nods to add her support to this opinion as Felicity continues: "Like... the whole afternoon was just this amazing party sort of thing, and they'd put on all sorts of entertainment, and there was performers everywhere, like strolling around and they'd stop if you asked them and do their tricks or songs or whatever they did for us, and the assembly hall was turned into, like, a disco with this amazing lighting, and they set up this ice-cream stall at the Fountains , and out on the lawn there was a waterslide where the girls who came in bikinis were having lots of fun sliding on it, and... and... oh, it was just brilliant, Dad, absolutely brilliant!"

Seamus chuckles, catching the contagious excitement that has apparently infected his daughter. "Sounds cool, Flissy. And what about you, Amanda? Did you enjoy it?"

Amanda leans forward, holding onto the seat in front of her. "It was really good, Mister Bee. Nobody expected what they'd done, and to be honest, when we were told we had to go back to our form room after Lunch, I think everybody who'd come in a bikini... well, we were all chewing ourselves to bits worrying that we were going to get expelled or something, like, given a really mean punishment for dressing that way. But when we saw what had been put on for us, we totally forgot any worries we had and we all got into having a great time."

"It was the perfect end to the School Year, Dad," Felicity adds. "And I'm so glad... like, really glad you and Mam got me into St Tibb's. Honestly, it's been the best time and I've made some brilliant friends, and I've only been there one term!"

"I'm pleased you're happy wit it, love," Seamus smiles. "Only the best for my Flissy, ay?"

"Well... you're the best, Dad, so it's what I've come to expect!" Felicity says and, without any warning, leans forward and kisses her father on the cheek.

"Oh, you!" Seamus says coyly but in a way that neither girl in the back can determine how much is play-acting and how much is genuine.

Amanda sits back on the seat with a smile as she watches this cute interaction taking place between father and daughter.

"Home time!" Seamus announces to ease the slight awkwardness that is beginning to build, and turns to sit in the driver's seat properly, pulling his seatbelt over, securing it, and turning the ignition to start the engine. "Don't forget to fasten your seatbelts, girls," he tells them and looks in the mirror to begin manoeuvring away from the kerb.
