*pees then turns to stone* (one of those fountain statues with the water coming out of them, peeing)

It's ridiculously talented people like you, making stonkingly beautiful and jaw-droppingly fantastic pieces like this, that make me want to throw my pens out the window. Holy crap, I hope to be one-tenth as talented as you are someday.

I didn't remember gorgons having split tongues, or did you think of that yourself? Great drawing, btw, gorgons are a real pain to draw/paint...

That's true, I just added them to bring more of a snake lady vibe to it, thank you for the kind words.

That comes with practice which gives you knowledge, it has nothing to do with the program/software.
In fact, most of my work here was done in cs5
Keep on practicing, read a lot of theory books on color, light, design, anything really, the more you know, the better you can control what you have in your mind's eye.
My guess is that you're making your colors too saturated equality, usually there needs to be a hierarchy of which color you choose to be the most dominant, the rest kind of mutes down, that is, in a very general way of thinking in theory.
good luck!
