Description
I've always said I was a Sonic the Hedgehog fan, but any time I break out my Megadrive/Genesis I always seem to reach for Streets of Rage 2 first, and I always select Blaze.Related content

Fuck yes! I love seeing you draw my favorite ol' Sega characters. Looks awesome.

Hell yeah! Β I also chose Blaze the most often when I played that game on the Genesis. Β I often won as her too! Β I only hope that that whiskey bottle was properly emptied before she made it a weapon. Β Utterly sweet work with one of only a few female game characters I've actually won games using.Β

To be truthful, same here. I've only played the original cartridge once though--nowadays, when I play it, I play it on my "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" disc for the Xbox-360.

It's been years since I've laid on eyes on her. Streets of Rage was fun to play back in those days.

I always play as her more often than the other characters as well. It was just a little more satisfying.
Shes hot, even if she a little scuffed :3
And you know what, maybe the next SoR should have you as the head artist.

Unfortunately, there's not much chance of that happening anytime soon - Sega is on a Sonic binge right now and is milking the franchise for all it's (no longer) worth.
In fact, the last unofficial remake that was available (with Sega's approval, I might add) was C&D'd a while ago by Sega of Europe. (SoE = SOBs)
It can still be found, though, if you know where to look.
Happy Hunting.

I've been seeing that a lot recently. You have a big name company with a franchise that can make money for them with no problem. And they take a shit all over it. ie. Capcom = Megaman Devil May Cry. Sega = Streets of Rage ect. I know about that Streets of Rage Remake. I was more so talking about this verson www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEdICw⦠that Sega put 6ft under

It gets back to that 'self-entitlement' attitude Jack mentioned earlier - studios and publishers like EA, Ubisoft and Take Two want to make the most money for the least amount of effort and they're using DLC/micropayments and computer destroying 'copy protection' (among other bad ideas) to enforce that ideal.
It's why I haven't purchased any PC games for years (and don't plan to anytime soon) - why the hell should I be punished for supporting a business when there are better alternatives available for free?
No, if these corporate jackasses want our money, they'll have to work a lot smarter than they are now and they can start by burning down the 'Money = WIN!' box they're hiding in.
Want more people to buy your fighting game? Produce something better than Jump Ultimate Stars (I'm sure conglomerates like WB and Disney would gladly jump on the promotional bandwagon).
Want to compete with Mario Kart or Pokemon? Look at past classics like Stunts*, Street Rod and Mail Order Monsters for a few ideas and/or hire the people that made them if they're still available.
Are people modding (read: improving) your classic game(s)? Deal with it. Don't punish them for paying homage to the original design team's genius or doing a better job.
And for corn's sake, stop holding games hostage.Β If you're not planning to put Warcraft Adventures, Chip's Challenge 2 or Ultima 8: the Lost Vale on the retail shelf, give them back to the original authors and let them release it.
It'll go a long way toward cleaning up the bad blood you spilled when you bit your customers' collective hand(s).
As for that video you linked to, as nice as it looks, I'm not sure if the game would have played as well as the originals. Some things just don't translate well to 3D (and I doubt that a lack of character variety would have helped).

(*Protip: Trackmania's biggest mistake (aside from its bottleneck tracks) was its 'Copper' system - who the hell charges players for building new levels?)

I agree. And for what ever reason Nintendo is slowly starting to corner the market because of it.

Nintendo= Were making a Smash Brothers more characters from other companies. It's a party game that looks like a fighting game.
Want to compete with Mario Kart or Pokemon?
Nintendo = Gladly paid to have the on the 3DS
Out side of that the world may never know.
