1. I never said we need the popular vote, just a fair system. Besides, the Electoral College gives the power of 25 states to Wyoming. Also, trump is about as Anti-farmer as you can get, considering his demand for foreign nations to put tariffs on our produce.

3. The Electoral College is about as unbalanced at is it gets, and don't get me started on the unchecked gerrymandering and the poorly balanced Supreme Court. It may have been enough in 1776, but things have changed massively. The law needs to change with the times, not the other way around.

Here's the thing, the House of Representatives has been capped and the Electoral College's members is defined by our constitution to be Senate + House. If the House was uncapped and put to the 200,000 per rep, we'll need either 1628 or 1629 representatives (actual answer of the current US population divided by 200,000 is 1628.5). That's stupid to the point where absolutely nothing will get done, and the Wyoming Rule will have the number at 562 (rounded down from 562.22).
Also, here's the thing, US politics is still heavily on power politics between more populous states and less populous ones. So you have to balance the power out or face horrible consequences like civil wars, revolutions, and the like. Then there is the fact that 2016 is apparently illegitimate because the entire thing was a GRU Electioneering job given what has been coming out of the Trump-Russia Investigation. You also ignore that the US is built upon the principles of the balance of power since day one, because high-pop and low-pop (and slave and non-slave) states wanted to have the reigns of power and had to compromise to get the US to exist, and one of those compromises was the Electoral College. We need a method that gives all states equal power, something based on percentages, with a week long voting period and a legal holiday for the whole frikken time.

It's not pro-Trump, it's simply reality (unless everyone gets up and rises up -which is impossible thanks to the work-to-live mentality that has been forced upon anyone not the rich- there is very little we can do to fight against the resources of a nation state, even one as unstable-but-moderately powerful like Russia). Unless you want to get killed for starting a revolt/insurrection, you have to let the US IC, DoJ, and Military to do most of the heavy lifting here.
