Description
I watch Stay too much for my own good. This is my design project for concentration. We were allowed to throw one colour in (a last minute decision on my teacher's part).Fine Point Sharpie, Red/Black Pigma Brushtips on 11"x14" Illustration Board
3 3/4 hours
Oh, and sorry about the quality. All I have is my iSight webcom (for now). I will get a legitimate scan of this at the library soon! :3
EDIT! 9/27
I uploaded a scan of it. It looks tres nice now. c:

Absolutely gorgeous. The fine lines, the different sizes of the words. I love how you left only a part of him in the picture and yet so much emotion is felt. I'm happy to finally see some art of Stay~!<3 My favourite scene in the movie, too.

Just plain incredible. I would kill to see this on a shirt or something of the sort. Just for crazy fans like me, haha. (I'd totally sport it ._. )
Plus, amazing sharpiework. Im aware that this is over a year and a half old, but still. You did an amazing job paying tribute to an amazing movie.

Thank you very much. It is old, but definitely one of my favourites. I'm glad I had a Design class to coerce me into creating more interesting designs.

This is very beautiful... I feel alot of emotion in way the words are, the colors that were used.
Awesome job! And hey, God likes you too!

I must say this is one of the few and the nicest OF those few drawings dedicated to this movie.
The movie is totally one of my favorites and I can watch it over and over, only to see if others appreciate it as much later and find it's so unpopular that it's sad.
The way you did this is really nice. I'm quite fond of it. <3 Especially choosing the scene you have drawn Ryan Gosling from is quite a touching one too. Perfect for the rest of the piece. And the "Forgive me" in red really catches your eye among the black blur of the others. The red is a nice effect, nice that your teacher said it last minute.
Definately a fav <3

It's a beautiful movie and fileld with very good acting as well.
I wish there were more movies like it myself, and more so I wish there were more peopel who didn't just walk out of the theater dismissing those kidns of movies as 'dumb' because it was just al ittle too much for their mind to piece together when it wasn't that hard at all.

To be honest, I didn't think Naomi Watts' performance was up to snuff. Her character was less believable for me than the others because of how she carried herself, or brought up her attempted suicide at inappropriate times, or how she never looked at Ewen McGregor when she was drawing him, et cβ¦.
Still on my favourites list, anyway. The scene transitions alone make it stand out.

Yeah she was lackign al ittle but she played such a little role too.
And oh yes, the cinematography ;___; <3 Ah. Fight Club and Stay are my all time favorites for their use of cinematography useage oh lord.
But Naomi aside, she's a nice actress just not entirely in this movie. But Ryan Gosling won my heart for him (considering prior to them ovie I found him to be such a weenie and now I love the boy.) and Ewan, oh geez. He's always been a favorite.
Hopefulyl one of these days I'll get a commission to actually buy a print of this though, I'm very interested and was glad you had it up for them haha <3

this is very cool!
I rented Stay the other day, but still haven't watched it. seems pretty Silent hill-ish, and I love Naomi Watts, so I think it'll be good.

Oh, is it good. It's excellent. Not too Silent Hill-y, all though the similar artgasm factor is definitely there. Easily the best scene transitions I've ever seen in a movie, though.

I didn't want to use a computer for this one, because it would have made it ridiculously easy.
I just preferred the old fashioned way this time!
And⦠I don't know anything about Illustrator, and that was the program I heard was more suited to this sort of thing. I don't even know how it's different from regular Photoshop. :B
