so this is just the 8mm fisheye?

i wonder how those shots would look like with a full-frame CMOS... o.O

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to OctoFlash [2012-07-04 23:30:24 +0000 UTC]

Yes and I don`t think my fish would work with it,would probably have to $plash over a Β£1,000 for Canons fisheye to find out

OctoFlash In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2012-07-05 05:41:21 +0000 UTC]

why, is it ab EF-S?

however, cool stuff dude!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to OctoFlash [2012-07-09 14:21:45 +0000 UTC]

It`s this one >>> [link]
I think you can use it with a Full Frame but you might get severe vignetting, don`t get any at all with my Canon 40D.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OctoFlash In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2012-07-09 20:32:12 +0000 UTC]

"You can also mount it to a full format (35mm) DSLR but the build-in lens hood will be visible in the image field in this case."
that'd be one reason for me not to get this lens but overall it seems like it must be worth the money!

totally thinking of buying it, thanks!

I would love to spend a day with you shooting in London, you certainly seem to know what works to get a striking image!
You inspire me to want to try this type of photography instead of just landscapes.
My new camera arrives today so maybe I'll try something new with it!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to eighty-three [2012-06-11 00:30:50 +0000 UTC]

It`s an awesome city Becky, love shooting there, architecture, general cityscapes and plenty of street photography whenever I go
You should definitely go if you can and give the city stuff a whirl,it might totally rejuvenate your enthusiasm, you never know and as you say,it will open your eyes to a different style of shooting.

What cam did you buy?

eighty-three In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2012-06-19 09:07:50 +0000 UTC]

I will definitely try and go next year or maybe later this year, I'll wait for the Olympics crowds to go!!
I am eager to try and see how creative I can be with city/street photography.

I went for the 550D, very happy with it so far
My dad now has my 350D and hopefully we can do a bit of shooting together. (I get priority of the lens choices though!!!)

Well done and congrats on the new baby, great you`ll have your Dad having a go with you too
I`m waiting for whatever Canon will bring out to replace the 7D
Sound choice to avoid the Olympic mess too..I might go for the odd day but I think it`ll be crazy
