Hello everyone Thank you for viewing my painting, I hope you like it. This is one of the first paintings that I've done since River of Light. I have several sketches ready to be painted and two are on canvases right now so I will get to painting on those soon.

Of course my girlfriend helped inspire me again, she is the reference for the woman on the tree. She is a beautiful model, I love her As for the background I just started drawing one day, letting my imagination go wild. It was the sketch that inspired me the most so I painted it first. If you watch me many of you may know that color and light is very important to me. I try my best to make them reflect a mood that makes you feel. I hope this painting does that for you. The tree is something that just happened. I wanted to make rough bark, kind of flaky but it kind of came out looking rather cozy like you would love to lay on it and look off to sunset shining down on you The path running through the rock and tree hopefully draw you in and enchant you. I made the woman appear as though she is watching and waiting for travelers to pass on through Anyway, that is how I see it. Create your own story and enjoy. I will continue on to the next and as always hone my style making better and better paintings. I LOVE TO CREATE!!!

My first thought was that the tree looked furry Very cool picture- I especially like the faint circles radiating out from the sun.

Thank you very much! I'm happy you like my style. Was intending the bark to look flaky but it ended up looking more furry, doesn't matter though because I like how it looks. Makes it look cozy

Thank you very much!! Yeah, it's traditional I get that a lot. I just love to work in traditional, somehow you just don't get the same feel and joy in digital work that you do in traditional

Love it. The tree conjures up thoughts of the "Truffula Trees" from Seuss's "The Lorax". This is, of course more brilliantly executed than the simple illustrations of Seuss...wow. Just fantastic!

People have said that about our painting "Path of Enlightenment" saying that the trees reminded them of Dr. Seuss. Interesting to hear it being said about this painting too Thank you for the wonderful compliment
