Hello everyone
Thank you for viewing my painting, I hope you like it. This is one of the first paintings that I've done since River of Light. I have several sketches ready to be painted and two are on canvases right now so I will get to painting on those soon. Of course my girlfriend helped inspire me again, she is the reference for the woman on the tree. She is a beautiful model, I love her
As for the background I just started drawing one day, letting my imagination go wild. It was the sketch that inspired me the most so I painted it first. If you watch me many of you may know that color and light is very important to me. I try my best to make them reflect a mood that makes you feel. I hope this painting does that for you. The tree is something that just happened. I wanted to make rough bark, kind of flaky but it kind of came out looking rather cozy like you would love to lay on it and look off to sunset shining down on you The path running through the rock and tree hopefully draw you in and enchant you. I made the woman appear as though she is watching and waiting for travelers to pass on through Anyway, that is how I see it. Create your own story and enjoy. I will continue on to the next and as always hone my style making better and better paintings. I LOVE TO CREATE!!!God Bless,

Wow, there's just something that happens with the clouds that makes me feel like the ground isn't totally level, and makes my head tilt, which feels good, and makes me wanna float into the painting for some reason xD The tree's leafs are so beautiful, I can see you care very much for painting, you put a lot of attention into little details for the viewer to find as he looks through your painting. I am very much in love with your style.
Also, I think it's really sweet that you get to incorporate part of your beloved one into your paintings, it's like your love melds with the paints, and that is why you can get such a good vibe from this

I love sharing my thoughts about an artist's peace, even though sometimes it isn't what the artist was thinking it would make people feel, I think it's what they want, to KNOW just what the heck goes thru your mind as you look at their work
Oh, my inner self is insane, so I have to let it out in pieces, but someday, I'll let it all out, who knows what'll come of it ;D

This is so beautiful, the colors you used, it makes the painting look so magical. It kinda reminds me of the movie "What Dreams May Come" starring Robin Williams, if you haven't seen it, I recommend it! Your girlfriend does look beautiful indeed, and the level of detail you gave to this piece is great, especially for a traditional painting. I love it, keep up the good work.

Your guess is as good as mine. I think they explain in their guidelines that they accept some traditional art too. I received a request to post it in their group, so I accepted figuring they know what they want. I was a little confused too when I saw the name of their group.
