Comment: We're currently fostering this cat. If anyone that lives in South Florida wants to adopt this adorable little bastard, please send me a note! He's just under a year old, has all of his shots, and is neutered.
He was a stray that we found in a parking lot that came up and rubbed on us, and we couldn't say no. He's very sweet, but he can get skittish at times, and he plays rather rough, so we're looking to send him to a home with an experienced cat owner.
The name was a joke at first, but when we were asked his name at the vet, we answered "Mr. Bitey-Face", and sure enough, it ended up on his papers.

Aww, he's so cute! Can't afford a cat at this point even if I did live in Florida. Hope he finds a good home. How can you foster without getting attached? It's something I've always wondered about pet fosters.

Well, it's my first time fostering anything (my girlfriend has more experience in the matter), and where I am somewhat attached, this particular cat isn't exactly the one I would choose to keep forever. Don't get me wrong, he's not mean, he's photogenic, and he's probably not a whole lot different than many cats his age. He just plays quite rough, and he likes to knock things over, and we're not really set up for this level of maintenance. It's just not a proper "fit" for us, especially at this time.
Even so, I love animals in general, and I couldn't just leave him dodging cars in the parking lot of the local supermarket. We just haven't found anyone able to take him on a more permanent basis.
We can't give him to a shelter, considering the sheer number of cats they have these days. He'd probably have his ear clipped, and then he'd be re-released back on the street, or he might even be a candidate for euthanasia, which would be a real shame considering how sweet he can be. I wouldn't want to do that to the shelter, or the cat.
Also, I never had a cat while growing up, so I became more of a dog/ferret person, really. That probably helps with staying somewhat unattached.
