Whenever I hear the word flux, I shudder with memories of electrodynamics. Thought I'd make a cute little joke about Gauss's Law, which is merely an intuitive mathematical relationship dealing with electric flux on a closed surface (something that always makes life easier - IF applicable). One of my professors always used to say "If you can use Gauss's Law, you're golden."
