Description
The Tsuchikorobi is said to be a big hairy ball, that rolls over travellers. I think Golem might be based on one too. Given that the Tsuchikorobi is the 'tumbling monster' I thought Tumbleweed fit well with the design.Lightweight - Doubles speed when its windy. Wind is a weather condition I came up with. It acts like a sandstorm but does not damage pokemon in battle. In wind, flying type moves would always hit first.
-------------------
Basic Stage: Tumblseed - The Tumbling Pokemon
Type: Ground/Grass
Ability: Lightweight
Name Meaning: Tumble-Seed
Evolves: Dusk Stone
The seed on it's back absorbs sunlight for photosythesis. They frequent dry areas, rolling towards the sunlight. They enjoy being blown around during thunderstorms.
--------------------
First Stage: Koroball- The Tumbling Pokemon
Type: Ground/Ghost
Ability: Lightweight
Name Meaning: Koro-Koro (The sound of something rolling)-Ball
Once it evolves, it's seed withers, so it instead feeds on the energy of travellers by rolling over them. As it tumbles down the mountain, its body is engulfed with toxic dust pouring from its back.

I love how the first one kind of looks like a brusselsprout, and it's evolution has had coming out of it, since brusselsprouts kind of taste bad.
I know that's not what you were going for, and I'm sorry, but good job!

Most of the descriptions I've found talk about a round creature made of soil or dirt...

Awesome pokemon. Sad that he loses his grass when he evolves. Must be weird to train this one. Still, fave'd!

That's a good thing. I mean, in contrast to the countless useless guys that are normal or grass-type. Do what you want; it'll be good either way.

I just realized something. It becomes Ghost type when it evolves, so... doesn't that essentially mean you've killed it? O_O

Fundamentally, I guess so, but not all ghost types are dead?

I hadn't really thought that far ahead... maybe it damages like hail?

RedForest100 In reply to JoshKH92 [2010-09-12 16:45:41 +0000 UTC]
I'd say it acts like sunny day or heavy rain, in the sense that it buffs the attacks of air, downs the attacks of rock and thunder and slight boost to fire and grass... also possibly slows down heavier pokemon?
