It's going ok I guess, I progress a lot then I have to go back because something just doesn't feel right once I get it to a certain stage.

Sometimes photoshop feels weird when I am working on it, like the brush isn't leaving as much paint as it should but I think that might be just me.

you should work with hard brushes like the charcoal brushes with dual settings on for the added texture.... but its good for getting planes i find. Then if you need to blend areas - use the smudge or airbrush to smooth stuff out if need be
