such a great idea and it looks awesome
my only criticism is that the buttons looks a bit two dimensional, especially compared to the needle and loose thread

if you don't mind my suggestions.... I'd say add a little pull to the threads, and instead of using too much white highlight, use like a... oh i don't know light brown twine color and make the threads 3d too... this stuff is my favourite to do.

I absolutely appreciate criticism, I've only been tattooing a year and some change so I'm into any advice I can get. I might go back into this one once it's healed, I was unsatisfied with the continuity of the light sources on the buttons.

less white, that's all i have to say. white is the tattoo killer, kinda like "fear is the mind killer". sorry, quoting dune there. anyway, you can use white, but just pick the right times. not everything in life has big gleams of white in it. try using some blends of battleship gray, THEN hit it with a little tiny dot of white. MUCH more effective.
