Description
This still-life is for my portfolio. Basically, I draw this to show that I can leave my comfort zones. Sure, it might not be fantasmical, but maybe it'll be, along with my other work, enough for the interviewers to decide to take me on...Just realised... I've not submitted something here that's not been twisted by my imagination before now. First time for everything
Done with a H3 (My most trusted of all pencils), B2, B4, B5 and B6.
EDIT: Now that I look back at this I can see it's very out of proportion!

You are looking for a job? That's cool enough if you can get one. I'm dying to studying after screwing up my national exams.
Anyway, I think the title doesn't seem to fit the drawing. Maybe you can try something that links to the word "recovery", maybe think about a patient trying to walk, and his/her expression while attempting.

Nah, This is for my portfolio that I'll be showing to a University I wish to attend.
This is a drawing of my father who is recovering from a massive hip replacement. All he can do is sit in that same part of the sofa everyday. He can't go out at all. His expression is that of an android, as that's what he, in essence, becomes when he's on that laptop of his.

Hm, university... getting into graphics design?
Anyway, my sympathy to your dad, it stinks when you couldn't move at all. Better to have a laptop to accompany him, he can do anything with it.
Maybe next time you can focus on his difficulty in moving?

Going in for Computer Games Design BA (Hons).
I wonβt focus on his difficulty in moving next time. Just sitting there is bad enough - he doesn't feel ill, but can't move around a great deal either. I wanted to focus on his immobilisation - him going with it, not fighting against it, as he knows it's futile.

Games designer for gaming companies? I would like to see more Final Fantasy style stories.
I don't think it is easy to get into that course, is it?

Yeah, it'll be difficult to get in. Only 25 - 30 of the countless interviewees will be offered places. The course entails animation (learning how to use Flash, Maya and other programs), film studies, gaming theory, textures, sprite creation, life drawing (nude people to model for us), gaming sessions and character design. The course looks damn awesome.
