I wish bryan singers team came to you for Apocalypses design instead of taking inspiration from Powers Rangers Ivan OOze

Thank you.  I'm sure what ends up in the film will be technically beautiful.  I'm just such a fan of the source material I might be disappointed.

I did like the "pyramid" post credit scene from DOFP but I am very skeptical about my all time fav Xmen mutant being a flop, I felt Singer made the Phoenix quite dull.
I do trust them and this is defiantly one of the movies I am most excited to see. I think your work shows that his design is still relevant if not eternal like the man himself.
" I simply AM! Which soon will be more than I can say for YOU!" "Apocalypse X-Men: Beyond Good and Evil: Part 1 (#4.8)" (1995)  lol

I think he will mutate some in the film, but at the moment I'm not a fan.  I agree on Phoenix, as the Dark Phoenix saga is one of my favorites.

This should have be the Apocalypse in the Fox movie.

Thanks!  They have wonderful craftsmen creating the suit, but unfortunately it's the Singer/Fox curse of not caring for the source material design.

Amazing work. A lot of people are saying your work here is what they should have followed for the newest xmen film

Thank you.  All I did was follow the original designs of the comic artists, and fit them on a really skinny and incredible actor.

Dude Marvel should hire you for the next X-men reboot to supervise all costumes. This piece would be perfect on Nathan Jones or Kevin Nash but best of all on Michael Clark Duncan RIP

Thank you!  I just wish they would stick with the original comic designs.  They're tested, beloved and are unique personalities on their own that fit with the stories.

this is insanely awesome! i assume in the movie next year, he'll be, like, 90% CGI, but if the studio went with this look, i would be so blissfully happy! this is perfect!

JoynerStudio In reply to MrHoeft [2015-06-04 23:47:51 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!  I'm sure he'll be 100 percent CGI, unfortunately, and that's why I wanted to see what he would look like on a real human being

i read in an interview with Oscar Issac that there's actually going to be a good deal of prosthetic make-up for the character, so as to make Apocalypse seem as real as possible, but with that character, there's only so much they can practically do before CGI comes into play. but either way, it'll be coo lot see. and again, your design is just perfect! the details on his face are my favorite!

That's great to hear.  I need to source down that article!  I'm totally fine with CGI, but it tends to be way overused.  It takes away the heart and the soul, the danger and excitement, from the character (at least to me).

MrHoeft In reply to JoynerStudio [2015-06-05 17:44:19 +0000 UTC]

i completely agree! that's why i'm so excited that Isacc is playing Apocalypse. he brings such determination and hard work to every character he plays (it was his choice to use limited CGI for the role), so it should be quite awesome!
and i read the article in an issue of Time Magazine, so you might be able to find it on their site.

Bravo, well done! I thought you were a 3D model/sculpt at first glance. Your makeup, armor & weaponry looks awesome, love how the wear & tear looks and the blast soot patina around the end of the weapon is a great touch.
