Transformers G1 - Protectobot
My character study on the Autobot "First Aid". Here you can see a front, back, and side view of the character.
-Comments-
I'm very happy with the results as I wanted to draw the details more accurately for First Aid and drawing those buffed arms was my favourite part.
I'm also working on the other members of the "Protectobots" which I'm looking forward to sharing with you people!

It's a shame that First Aid didn't get any more screenΒ time and development in the G1 cartoon. I loved The Ultimate Weapon, I thought it was one of the best episodes of Season 3! Great drawing, by the way.

Well that can be said for a lot of G1 characters. I thought First Aid was fortunate to get his own spotlight episode and this really boosted his character development, again not many had that opportunity due to so many characters in G1, so I'm very thankful we even got what we got with First Aid, he is a great example of not just a common Transformer soldier who knows only how to fight, we get realistic character who just wants to help by no means of violence, an important symbol I think and I relate to First Aid a lot.

It certainly made up for the fact that when the Protectobots made their debut at the end of Season 2, we didn't even get to see First Aid in his robot mode. Sandstorm and Octane are two other characters who deserved to have more screen time in Season 3 as well. The G1 cartoon is proof that it's certainly difficult to cram a whole toy line into a story line.

Oh you mean Season 2 right? Episode B.O.T. We did get to see his robot mode in that episode very briefly from his back few.
Those 2 triple changer actually got quite a bit of attention, just enough to flesh out their personalities, unlike some others.
Yeah would of been nice for my spotlight episodes.

Oh, how embarrassing! I meant Season 2! I have corrected it now. Come to think of it, IΒ do remember seeing the back of First Aid's robot shown briefly in that episode. That was the first time the Protectobots ever merged into Defensor in the cartoon. What you said about the Triple Changers is true.

Yeah in the past It was tricky to draw but later on I learned and practice how it actually is designed.

This is a great study of the 'other' much unappreciated ambulance.
I love his crisp colours. First Aid is the true embodiment of a medic, caring and concerned.

It's great to hear you know who First Aid is and you are right he is the caring pacifist who made a impact on the episode "The Ultimate Episode" which is why I think he well known.

I love the little medic. He sacrificed himself rather than cause the death of others and truely lived up to his pacifist beliefs, even when he came off worst. He deserves more recognition.
