Hey! I'm actually supposed to be working on school stuff now, but today(like a bunch of other days) I just couldn't and had to sketch something. It's not much but better than no update till mid september.Related content

Wow again Β Β Is there any advise you could give on drawing hands? Your drawings are always very vibrant, but your characters' hands are simply striking. I'd like to learn how to get that somewhat powerful touchΒ Β

Thanks Ninjarla! About hands, Im actually not very sure what to suggest cause imo whats really important about hands is getting the gesture right but that can be so specific to the pose sometimes. So i guess, try and pay close attention to how the fingers move when studying hands and see if you can notice some patterns( like how when you have a really dramatic hand and starting from the little finger that stays the closest to the palm the others curl away from it)and try and memorize those. Maybe I can draw some tips sometime, that would make more sense.

I wonder what you could achieve if you started some kind of a personal project, like a comic, a series of illustrations, a few related character designs or something like that. You clearly have a lot of skill, but I don't remember if I saw you doing any "creative" work and that would be interesting (at least for me)

Aw idan i dont know. I actually dont really have anything in mind that i would want to work on. Which is why i always do fanart, cause i wont have to think about designing them. And i have no idea how to go about doing that either. Actually thats something i might want to work on cause, charcter design kind of interests me. Comics on the other hand, sounds like it requires too much skill.

Oh, I know this too well - not having any original ideas. But I think this is the ultimate goal of making art and it's the original ideas that really matter; in fact, I don't remember any great artist doing only work based on somebody's imagination. If character design interests you, then go for it, I can't wait for the results. Somebody with your skills in my opinion shouldn't stay in the fanart area forever. And it's good to move out of your comfort zone, right?
