I suddenly decided it was time to get the bios out for my sirens And since I watched the Book of Life last night (and realized that Tane and Manolo shared a lot of the same qualities) I was in the mood to do him first!

So here's his bio!

Age: 11

Personality: Kindhearted, secretive, anxious, easily teased and pushed around by others

Likes: Fishing, hunting, being with his friends, swimming, pretty sashes, singing (Although he feels embarrassed whenever he sings)

Dislikes: Sirens with aggressive natures, cruelty, shoes and shirts, being bullied

Sexuality: Pansexual, has no preference, but likes long hair in girls and freckles in boys

Backstory: Tane was born in one of the larger clans in the great sea, the second child out of 3. Ever since he was very young, he was always picked on and bullied by his siblings, Oliver and Merida. Because of his very wimpy and easily crushed nature, he was very unpopular, considered a wimpy and pathetic siren. Among his only friends was Jin, an older siren who liked Tane for who he was. Tane developed a crush on him, but it was sadly unrequited, as Jin was asexual and preferred platonic relationships over romantic ones.

One day, when Tane was 10 years old, his mother suffered a miscarriage and lost her fourth child. She went crazy with grief and attacked and lashed out at her friends and family. It was only when Merida was badly hurt that Tane's older brother Oliver decided they should run away until their mother got better. Tane and Merida were against the whole idea, but Oliver forced them to go along with it, saying it was for the best.

That very night, they ran away, and stayed on the run together for two weeks. They had no idea where they were going and they couldn't find enough food to keep them going. As a result, Tane eventually snapped at Oliver, saying he no longer wanted to travel with him. The augment got so heated up, Oliver slashed Tane's arm with his claws (The reason he keeps his wrists wrapped in bandages) Heartbroken, Tane swam away from them, not wanting to see them ever again.

He ended up deciding to escape to land, knowing that they hated it enough to never bother to look for him there. So he swam in the direction of a little coastal town he remembered from his early child and collapsed on shore, exhausted. Nerissa ended up finding him and taking him home to her house. She took care of his wounds and gave him food and lodging. She even helped him get a job down by the dock as a fisherman. But Tane refused to speak of his past whenever she asked him, not wanting to say that he was a siren, worried how she would react.

It wasn't until a year later, when a little white haired siren appeared on the shores of that very town's beach, that all the secrets between them were spilled....

The sun was shining brightly, the ocean breeze fresh, the seagulls flying lazily overhead in hopes of finding fish or various other food scraps. The ocean was a brilliant dark blue, clear and cold, so much so that it was possible to glimpse something else underneath it’s shimmering surface, something not nearly as pleasant as the world above it…

The two sirens, aggressive creatures that appeared to look human with the lower bodies of something more aquatic, were squabbling over who knew what, besides the fact that both of them were very angry at each other.
“Oliver, you aren’t being fair!” The smaller one yelped as the older one slashed at his shoulder with sharp claws and narrowly missed.
“Who said fights were fair?” the older one, named Oliver, snapped, lunging towards the younger one again, bearing two clawed hands and a mouth full of sharp teeth.
