I've never really drawn any Transformers before aside from a sketch or two so this was a fun challenge to take on as its a bit different from what I would normally illustrate.ΒRelated content

The blocky design of Optimus really lends itself well to your style, so yeah, wanna see you do another Transformer.

Thanks Nikki. Yes, would have been good to have this for those shows. You'll just have to wait and see if Megatron and a few other Transformers make their way on to the internet. I may or may not have already done a set.Β

I was gonna. But then things got busy, I forgot to book the table early and the person I was thinking of sharing a table with isn't able to do it anymore, so the cheaper table costs + free accomodation wasn't gonna happen so it wasn't worth the trip given full price table costs and.. yeah. So gonna be going to Melb Oz ComicCon and then AVCON the month after, but not sure what other cons I'll do this year. Thinking of taking a break for a while possibly.

If a cheaper table and free accommodation were the option then you'd have to get on it but that sucks that its no longer an option. Hopefully Melb OCC is a good one. I'm a bit jealous that you're doing AVCON, I made a request for an AA table but didn't put it through in time. Why are you thinking of taking a break?

Yeah, free stuff is always nice, but it's alright. I'll get up to Sydney again next year.
Avcon I've been trying for for the last three years and had a friend who was watching their page for me to poke me the moment the tables were available and I emailed them the moment I could to make sure I fiiiiinally got in on it. It's my last attempt at Adelaide before I completely give it up as a viable con location. I don't think I've even managed toΒ break even on any trips to Adelaide at this point so yeah.
As to the break. I've been too busy the last couple of years going all over the place and around work and also helping run a convention of my own. I need some time to sit down and make myself just do some new arts without stressing for a new con. Plus, too many bad cons last year (admittedly my own fault in many aspects for not trying harder for new stuff to get out there,) which have put a drain on finances and making me more wary for future events. I'm pretty much doing OzCC cause I'm wary of their new selection process an I figure getting a con in this year gets me better chances for future years when I'm ready to get back into it more.
