What a rare thing to capture! It's so beautifully shot as well, it looks like an illustration in a children's book!

This is such a rare shot
Crisp focus. All the attention is on the subject matter, which is captured in such an interesting moment.Β

I am impressed how You captured the moment Β here
I photograph nature and its creations myself and I do know how hard it is to 'catch' these guys in a frame of the picture
so that the composition was excellent...
Here You did an excellent job, taking the picture in the right second

Hello Julian,
I have just discovered your wok via this image, and I am highly impressed! Β I rarely suggest Daily Deviations, but I just had to do so with your work. Β Here is an excerpt from the Note that I sent the admin in charge of selecting the "Animals and Nature" photography DD's:
This artist seems to have a knack for wildlife photography, and making interesting figures out of everyday creatures that one might see outside one's window.
This particular piece is a prime example. Capturing just the right moment with a wild subject is no easy task - especially with an animal as quick and skittish as a rodent - but the photographer has done so masterfully. Equally impressive (for the same reasons) is the short focal depth, which brings the squirrel into focus as the incontrovertible point of interest. A little post processing helps as well, subtly bringing our the contrast of red fur on green backdrop. A good composition (whether that's the original shot or a well-thought crop, I'm unsure) completes the piece.
I meant every word of it; and similar praise could be given to many of your other images. Β Thank you for sharing them! Β I hope that your image is selected.
