It was cold outside, and cold weather meant exercising would happen inside one of the two indoor arena's of Rosendal, where the cold wind didn't reach them.
Sure, the air was cold, but at least it didn't blow. Besides, they would work themselves warm in here and the further into their riding they got, they took off their jackets and was able to ride comfortably without them. Kei was on a new prospect, whom she needed to get to know better, since she and this mare was going to travel to Austria to Imperials to compete in a months time in the Rising Star class. Kei would have liked to join this event with RD's Lascivio , but sadly that was out of question. The Grand Prix would take place underneath the sunken lake, and Kei knew by experience that Lascivio would never accept that arena. They had tried, and the big stallion didn't even enter the arena once. He simply threw a tantrum and Kei had to resign. Without even stepping foot into the arena.
SO, here she was, with this new prospect, who was none other than Lascivio's daughter, RD's Lascia Ch'io Pianga .

Sara was exercising the stallion RD's Seaborn Brilliance, whom had had a very calm career so far with no major entries. But even if he was no STAR yet, he was still a amazing character at Rosendal. Sara was not a dressage expert, but she gave Kei some coaching now and then when she noticed something, or reminded Kei when she seemed to feel lost. It was always a challenge to get to know a new horse. Especially for Kei. She was a show jumper and had only competed dressage with Lascivio because he didn't accept anyone else in the saddle at Rosendal. So to now sit on a second dressage horse and try to get to know this one, was tricky. But overall, the exercise went well and Lascia seemed pleased when Kei walked her off after the training. Kei was satisfied with the mares effort in the training. They still had one more month to go before it was time, so they had lots of time.
