Here's my entry for the "Design an Ultraman" contest

Ultraman Raizer is unlike any other. Its upper body, arms and legs are covered with a unique armor made out of an unidentified space alloy that's able to absorb energy particles.
With enough energy stored, Raizer is able to utilize the energy in various ways:

-Raizer Shield (a frontal energy shield)
-Raizer Blade (a solidified beam of light used as a sword)
-Raizer Flash (a powerful energy beam attack)
-Overload Raizer (A trump card that uses up all stored energy to amplify all its attacks for a limited time )

That was my generic attempt at a backstory that i made up just now....

GAH! I lost the contest .... But at least i lost to the 3 entries that i thought looked great. Here's what the judges had to say about my entry:

MATT – This one really surprised me and was a strong contender for a top-spot. I like the cleanliness and slick overall design, and the color palette is inspired to boot! My only crit is that he needs better hands!
SORTA - I LOVE this design. A very basic pose, but the standard I've been measuring these against is the concept work from my Ultraman Max and Mebius photobooks and they have pretty basic poses too. This works really well for me and I'd love, love, love to see it in a series one day.
