Description
Blossom walked around aimlessly for a while, eventually she caught sight of Tirek.
"Mr- Lord- Tirek!" Blossom called out, still unsure of how to refer to him.
Tirek stopped to wait for her to catch up, "i'm not a lord anymore, we're all equals here. Just Tirek is fine, little one."
"If we're all equal, why am I little one?" She asked.
"You never told us your name when you arrived." Tirek replied, they started walking again.
"Oh... It's well Death Blossom, but just call me Blossom." She realized that probably wouldn't be the strangest name he's heard but his steps slowed after hearing it.
"Death Blossom?.." He repeated.
"Yeah, I know not a very pony-like name." Blossom's ears folded back.
Tirek seemed to snap out of it and continued on, "It's very pony-like to be named after some plant. The flower is quite beautiful."
"That's a real flower?" Blossom asked, curiously looking up at Tirek.
He nodded, "It's a flower of pink and blue, the center has a yellow bud that's poisonous."
"Where do you find it?" She continued questioning.
"I don't know, it's been too many years since the last time I saw one. I don't remember." He coughed.
Blossom nodded, "You know a lot, I want to keep asking questions."
"Go ahead, I don't mind." He adjusted his blanket.
"How come you don't look like your brother?" Blossom bluntly asked, causing Tirek to laugh from being caught off-guard.
"You must have been thinking about that a lot if that's the first thing you ask." He laughed. "I do look like my brother, originally."
She titled her head.
"Before I was corrupted, these are not my colors, these are not my eyes." He explained, "I used to look more similar to Scorpan, minus the wings and lack of legs. But dark magic has a way of corrupting people and leaving behind changes." He pointed to her hair, "I'm guessing you weren't a natural pink."
Blossom touched her hair, "I have dark magic? Is that where the voice comes from?"
"You hear the voice to?" He muttered. "Most likely, dark magic is strange and hard to know why it works the way it does."
"I thought corruption was caused by items, I was born like this." Blossom's tail flicked.
"Items that cause corruption are enchantments of dark magic, they're used to harness the power and can corrupt someone using them. But regular items don't have dark magic, like Grogar's bell. He forged it to be a device to harness extra dark magic."
She nodded along. "Can creatures also used to harness magic?"
"What do you mean?" Tirek looked at her.
"Well there's a creature that's said to be made of dark magic, it's how Nightmare Moon was created. I think it's called Tantabus." Blossom replied.
"Tantabus is a weird one. Usually creatures are overwhelmed by dark magic and turn into a harness but nobody knows the origin of Tantabus so it's hard to say. The only one how'd know would probably be Grogar himself." Tirek nodded along.
"Where's Grogar? Wouldn't he be down here too?" Blossom asked.
Tirek shrugged, "I've never seen him and this place isn't that big. He's not in our valley or the other."
"There's another valley?" She looked around.
"Of course, we can't all be together. Our valley is the more peaceful one, of villains who have reformed, given up, gotten old, or even those wrongly sent here. Not everyone is able to see the error of their ways, the others are stuck in the other valley where it's chaotic and violent." Tirek pointed to the cave where he usually slept. "It's through there. I'm the one who oversees the passage and keeps the sides separate."
Blossom looked at Tirek in awe, "You really were meant to be a leader."
"What?" Tirek tsked.
"Well look at you, everyone is stripped to their bare minimum, all these creatures of different origin with no supervision and yet you managed to make a sort of community here." Blossom smiled.
Tirek looked away, "It wouldn't work unless there were some to back me up. I'd be lying if I didn't fear what would happen to our peaceful valley once I'm gone."
"Once you're gone? You're still in good health though." Blossom said, confused.
Tirek shook his head. "No magic leads to no medicine, there's a reason I'm not as strong as I once was. I will not last much longer but there is no one to take over completely once I'm gone. No supervision is not always a good thing, there will be more carnage and a constant battle here." He sighed.
Blossom paused before stopping in front of Tirek, "Teach me then. I'll do it if nobody else will. I can continue what you've started."
Tirek's hard exterior seemed to fade at that moment, he reached out and pat her head. "You're a good child Blossom. Considerate and kind, but there's no reason to trouble yourself with that."
"Then why did you do it?" Blossom looked up at him.
Tirek coughed once more, "I don't know."
"Tirek! Tirek." Sai came running over, "There's commotion in the cave, Manticore is holding them off."
Tirek's harsh expression returned and he stood up tall. "I'll go sort it out, lead Blossom back to the tents."
"Sure. Come on kid." Sai led her way, Blossom couldn't help but looking back as they both walked away from each other.
"Tirek! Thanks for this conversation!" Blossom yelled out.
Tirek's ears flicked, showing he heard her. Blossom could walk away with a smile now.

Another part! Ah how time flies. Tartarus is a fun place to explore and if i had better art skills I'd love to show you all it DX but alas all I can do is try to describe it. I hope you like this part and look forward to how it continues!
