I love this picture and did a drawing based on it: [link] - hopefully you won't mind (credit was given), but if you do, I'll take it down, no problem Cheers!

Gorgeous little thing. xD I've never seen one of these. It's so cartoon like.

What a peculiar-looking bird.
I can't write critiques since I don't have a premium membership, but I want to do one anyway.
The general atmosphere that you captured is perfect. I can feel the "autumn" coming off of it judging by the way the leaves in the background look, and also by how the branches seem bare. It's a perfect contrast to this colorful bird. Though not colorful in the sense that a parrot would be, it doesn't need the sunlight to show off how lovely it looks. It's such a tiny bird, so you could almost miss it if you didn't look hard enough. I'm no bird watcher, but I'm guessing you had to wait a bit until you saw one. It makes me think about one of those little treasures you don't see if you don't pay close attention. Digging through the scenery of autumn and it's more brightly colored surroundings (like all the leaves and berries and whatnot), you can find this little creature that is beautiful and precious, and be able to capture it's essence in a photo before it flies off and is gone. The whole photo seems very simple, but I think it says a lot, even though I can't exactly describe it in the best of words.
Overall, I'd say this is a job well done! ;D Keep at it!

Thanks for your feedback! It's really great for me to have an opportunity to read such constructive comments
Thats is really autumn but very cold one and the bird is probably feeling that's getting to snow (today 2 days after taking that picture we have a "winter" with snow in Poland). You were right that I was waiting quite long to see nuthatch - they're not the easiest birds to photograph and they're usually moving very fast. Luckily it was curious one and definitely enjoyed our photo session (and received some nuts after it )
thank you again for commenting
