BUM BUM. BUM BUM da BUM.I totally see Bulk Biceps (or Snowflake, as some of you may prefer) as Arnold Schwarzenegger. But without the accent. Or maybe with. I don’t remember him saying anything beyond “YEEEEAAAAH”.

To answer your question, this was a joke to myself. I had a funny thought comparing the two characters, and went with it. I certainly hope my goofy fanart didn't ruin something you like.

I think it's because we share a similar childhood. And MLP fans are mixing what they loved then, with what they love now.
If it bothers you that people are doing this, think about it this way. They love those things from their childhood so much, they can't forget about them now, even though they found something new to love.
And loving MLP probably brings back many memories of childhood. It's a simple, fun show. So people remember those things all the more.
I didn't do it out of hate. I did it out of love. I'm sure that's how many other mlp fan artists feel too.

I was more refering to a general link to childhood. Watching the mlp of now reminds us of a simpler time.
But no, we can both agree watching the older MLP is comparable to subjecting yourself to multiple brain freezes and is made far superior with some good old fashioned MST300-ing.
