Current the electric cat, in her latest incarnation...The scan turned out much darker than it actually is - and she looks a lot bluer in the scan for some reason. Argh.

EDIT: I changed the image a bit and it looks more like the original colors, but still a bit too dark. C'est la vie

The character design is groovy, I love the chilling colors. And pads on her paws a pretty too. You totally deserved this DD.

Yeah, I drew the circuit board
We had an old SCSI card laying around collecting dust, and it just seemed like such a neat, challenging thing to draw
I admit its not perfectly to scale... I lengthened it a bit, and the traces (the little yellow lines) are mostly improvised based on the general patterns... The real thing is actually far more detailed.

This is absoluetly....whoa, i'm can't find the right word. The detail you put into your pictures always hits me, over and over again.

My aim was partially to make it look like it had to be made digitally - with some of the effects - except that I did it with traditional media. One of my aims in artwork in general is to prove that everything you can do with a computer can be done with traditional media... (because I dislike computers for the most part)

Scanners can really throw off colors and need a lot of fine-tuning, don't they?

Well, computers and computer accessories, like people, aren't perfect ^.^...
It did make the piece more dramatic than the original, but it also left out many of the fine details I put into it. Also I'm sure the size difference makes a pretty big difference, as the original is 11"x14"... I restrict myself to small-ish scans though online... as a free sample I don't give out the whole she-bang ^.^...

In certain scanner software programs, you can set the white and black point to calibrate the colors. Maybe yours does too?

Thats not good for the card, espically with all that fur, EDS spells doom!

LOL yes - well, the card itself is actually quite old and out of use... I changed the copyright date on one of the stickers from 1995 to 2005 ^.~ So I dont think she will do it any harm...
