Description
Both my friends and other people on DA keep asking me about how I made my lime slices on top of my tiny cake charms. Well, here it is! The tutorial I promised! I actually had trouble making canes a few years ago, so I stopped using canes, and then after a span of those few years, I tried a second time and made a perfect one! I was so happy that day**If you guys use this tutorial, please send me a comment or a note, I would love to see your creations
~Enjoy~

I tried making canes for the very first time using this and although they're not perfect, I think they went really well [link]

I love them! To help them retain their shape, i like to put them in the fridge for about 20-30 mins and then cut them. You can also cut them while rolling the cane, but I mess up while doing that sometimes.
They're wonderful though, I hope you make more from other people's tutorials too I have yet to make a perfect strawberry cane ;B

I was trying to make an orange the other day and failed miserably. This makes it so much easier! And my fiance would kill me if I used his Cutco knives for my clay. O_O

LOL thanks, i'm glad they were helpful My family doesn't really use the cutco knives, and we had a huge set, so my mother gave me a fruit knife XDDD

Our only knives are the Cutco ones. So I'm not allowed to even touch them with my clay. Which is a good thing I guess, shouldn't mix the two. And your sculpey skills put mine to shame.

well, most cane methods are similar, and commonly used. So, I used this way and I explained it in my own words. i can't say I came up with it, but yes, this is my tutorial and I explained it in my own words There's another way to make them, but I find this one gives you better results.

haha, it's always good to guess, i thought i would be the only person doing that! XDD i can tell you're going to be a great polymer clay artist, just exercise your brain to get used to things about the clay. If you have any questions, just note or comment or email me i actually want to try making canes with different colors, like a black and pink orange XDDD

Thanks. I've made 14 since yesterday... And i just realised it plastercine and not clay.. XD I don't care... It's basically the same ><
I'd love to see a black and white cake with a bright pink and black orange-y thing on the top. (:
You gotta make more tut's! You're really good at them. And to have made them so quickly as well! It takes me ages to make one because I'm too god damned lazy. And then i can't be bothered to upload it..
Can't wait to see more of your clay works! (:

haha, thanks! I love teaching people how to make stuff. Maybe you should try the black and white cake idea with the citrus on top! Might be cute I will be sure to upload more! Right now, I'm just on and off my clay works, it's practically summer, so I'm too lazy to do much
Thanks for the comment!
I think people use plasticine in europe as their clay, and for clay animations, I've always wanted to make one of those using plasticine

I would try it if i had any black or white plasticine. It's not a surprise that i use plasticine and not clay since i live in Europe. XD

photoshop allows you to draw and create stuff as a document, kind of like paint and such... on paint you can still draw on your tutorials, it's really nothing special. You have to buy photoshop, the only way I can let you download mine is to mail you the software itself, mine came with my tablet, you can just google up photoshop or go on their website to buy photoshop. You can't actually get it for free legally....(unless there's some special offer i didnt hear about)
