truth be told i've bounced around with so many handles over the years i can't remember, Spectre and Dragon were probably my top picks for then. would usually run with the myrmidon tank, gorgon or apoc. Only bad thing about how long its been lol

It's an Apoc. Got Phoenix's symbol on the front, vulnerable spot's located under the cockpit. Shoot of the two shoulder dealies to render it harmless...and a touch funny looking. God, I miss you Starsiege.

Pass! dual mfac load took a bit of head scratching and proved more fatal to pilot than prey online

Unfortunately, this game is all but dead. What a magnificent game, though. It was still popular up until about 1-2 years ago. They tried to come out with a SS:2845, but that sucked, so everyone just fell away.
But, in 1999, this game kicked ass. Still did for many years.
Ah, the memories. I ripped all the music from the CD's, though. Spectacular music, I must say...

i still play it time to time, one time i found all the script tools n made a myrmidon tank have 6 MFACs and had it so my herc could walk at 200+ km/h lol.
solid game. though tribes was fun, im sad to see they forgot about the mechs. what i truly liked was all the pilots actually had their own character. not just different voices and all the same lines. the voice taunts were always fun too

LMAO! So true. A classic game that, sadly, few people know about these days...
I never thought of the characters, but you're right. I can't think of any quotes, but there were some sweet taunts. Not to mention the people (I knew one personally) who made the taunts list up to 2500 (though, many may not have been from the game).
