Oh, I'm sorry. Did I say Godzilla? My mistake. I meant the Nightwalker. Seriously, we're getting two Kaiju movies this year taking influence from Princess Mononoke... not like that's a bad thing. Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite movies. Anyway, yes, this is the official design of Godzilla. I guess they've now turned him into a nature spirit. That or his body glows when he prepares his Atomic Ray.Update: Yes I am aware this is just fan art. However, you've got to admit this is one rocking design.

I almost wish this was the official design. I like the Godzilla Earth that we got bug this one just seems more.... earthly. Does that make sense?

I think it's just concept art (fan art in actuality), I doubt he's going to be that big in the movie and I hope he isn't because that's way too big
for Godzilla.

I on the other hand would actually like to see 300 Meter/1000 foot tall Godzilla especially with Polygon Pictures working on the Animation, It would be a breathtaking sight

For me though, I think there is a bit where Godzilla can be too big and I would
like to see a Godzilla sized down for once instead one upping his size every movie. I
mean if this keeps up, Godzilla's head is going to be all the way in Earth's atmosphere
or the Moon.

I too would see a limit of Godzilla's growing size (200 meters tall is a good max height) but with today's buildings gets taller and taller would make Godzilla look smaller and less intimidating than he normally is.

But when is it going to end? Are we going to keep sizing up Godzilla just so he
can match the size of today's buildings, just to look intimidating? I don't think
you have to do that necessarily. You don't just have to show Godzilla's intimidation
factor just with his size, but in his actions and in his looks as well. You can still make
Godzilla scary and intimidating while still keeping him say 80 meters or less, like 80
meters is big enough size I'd say for Godzilla, that's how big he was in the earlier Heisei
films and around the size the monsters and Jaegers where in Pacific Rim, and they still felt big
and intimidating (in the case of the monsters).
Or if you want to keep Godzilla at a size that's somewhat plausible for an animal to be, than
make him 50 or 55 meters, the size of the original '54 Godzilla or the Millennium Godzilla
(specifically the 2002/2003 Godzilla, known as "KiryuGoji"). I mean, it doesn't have to be
realistic, but I'm saying that even if you made him that size, you still could make him scary
and intimidating and/or cool.

I wrote a whole journal about my utter excitement about this, so I won't horrify you with my fanboyism^^
but I will say that it's a dream come true to see the big guy make his first ever anime film debut!
as for the look in this picture, I LOVE It!! But MAN are those spikes big! I thought Godzilla 2000 took the cake for biggest Godzilla spikes but this is a whole other story.

Actually it looks more like somebody took the Nightwalker from Princess Mononoke and mixed it with Mire-Goji.
