Miki Saegusa: A young werewolf woman possessing psychic abilities. After being orphaned by an attack by Godzilla on her birth town of Janjira in 2034 (thus earning her the moniker of "Orphan of Janjira"), Miki was since then raised by her aunt Haruka. However, it turns out she didn't just lose her parents that dreadful night, but gained a mental connection with the very same monster responsible for orphaning her. Despite the fact Godzilla killed her parents however, she doesn't hold any grudge against the King of the Monsters and just wants to ensure mankind as well as Demi-Humanity can live side-by-side with the Kaiju.
Voiced by: Alison Lohman
Haruka Saegusa: Miki's fraternal aunt and parental guardian. Haruka is also a werewolf like her niece but she has far better control of her lupine form. Unlike her niece, she is not a psychic and could be mistaken for a hippy due to her aversion toward shoes or any other footwear (a trait that seems to have mostly transferred over to her niece who only wears sandals) excluding the fact she eats meat. She is also incredibly protective toward Miki despite her not being her daughter.
Voiced by: Gillian Anderson
Koji Shinjo: Miki's friend who lives in Minato. He is a human who comes from a large family and he joins Tsukuyomi as one of the four humans to keep an eye on Miki. He is a generally nice young man as well as a jokester but he is not afraid to blast anyone to bits if he's pushed in the wrong direction.
Voiced by: Steve Yeun
Chinatsu Gondo: A werewolf childhood friend of Miki as well as a former college room-mate. Chinatsu is more or less the team mom of Tsukuyomi and has to constantly keep an eye on her little brother Goro.
Voiced by: Kelly Hu
Fotia Anemos: A Greek Dragoness with a love of all things fire. She enjoys the sight, sound, and smell of flames so much it is a miracle she's not an arsonist. She can take on a human form with the only telltale signs of her dragon heritage being her eyes and her wings due to her second love of flight.
Voiced by: Gal Gadot
Natasha Vaduva: An aristocratic vampiress and the heiress of the Vaduva Neagra clan. Natasha is a deadpan vampiress who usually speaks in a dry monotone. Despite her aristocratic disposition, she doesn't use her bloodline to her advantage since she understands, as a member of Tsukuyomi, she's a soldier first and an heiress last. She doesn't quite see eye-to-eye with Miki's ideology as she says in her own words "If you can't reason with a tornado, what good is trying to reason with Godzilla?" Due to being a vampire, she mostly feeds on raw meat and carries around a canteen of hog's blood instead of water. Her powers are significantly dampened in the sunlight.
Voiced by: Mila Kunis
Goro Gondo: Chinatsu's younger brother. Unlike his more responsible sister, Goro is reckless, brash, and loud. He is a big fan of explosives to the point Chinatsu wonders if her real brother is being raised by Michael Bay. However, he does show some moments of maturity... when he feels like it.
Voiced by: Jeremy Shada
Brooke Song: The team's elf sharpshooter. Due to her keen eye sight, enhanced sense of smell, and above average hearing she shares with the rest of her kind, she is right at home behind the barrel of her sniper rifle. She is also a bit of a tomboy and is rather sympathetic to members of her team.
Voiced by: Minnie Driver
Ota Murakami: The commanding officer of Tsukuyomi. Ota has had his fair share of Kaiju action, even bearing a scar given to him as a young teenager during the Fall of Janjira in 2034 by Godzilla when he and his friend Kentaro had their tank platoon wiped out by the King of the Monsters. He has developed a large degree of respect towards the Monster King.
Voiced by: Sab Shimono
Kentaro Matsumiya: Ota's second in command. Unlike his friend, Kentaro regards Godzilla as a menace but is still just as reasonable.
Voiced by: Townsend Coleman
Akane Yashiro: The tough-as-nails pilot of MechaGodzilla. While she is still as reasonable as her commanding officers, Akane doesn't exactly hold Godzilla in a very positive light on accordance of him killing her brother in a skirmish when she was just a Maser Cannon officer.
Voiced by: Claire Danes
Namikawa: The AI unit of the Airship Okami. Namikawa is an M-11 class AI with a deadpan and somewhat snarky personality and is also able to exit the ship and walk around in an android body. She strongly resembles a younger Kumi Mizuno.
Voiced by: Aubrey Plaza
Yamiojo: An ancient, dragon-like demon who was sealed away years ago by Mothra, Battra, Manda, and King Seesar. She wants nothing else but to see humanity and Demi-Humanity wiped out just because she finds their existence insulting to her own. She is able to create nightmarish creatures known as Yami Umare (or Shadowborn) from her own essence as extensions of herself.
Voiced by: Zelda Williams

How was Demi-Humanity effected by the emergence of the first kaiju in 1954?

A bit relieved that humanity was no longer the top of the food chain and a bit freaked out.

I guess G and the kaiju could be called the new Gods of the Modern Age, compared to the Demi's of the Ancient Era.

I see that theme a lot in your works.
It is an interesting angle to explore.
