One of my favorite shows growing up in the 90s was a lot off the beaten path of the rest of the shows I loved. For the most part I was a TMNT-Action-Adventure-Fantasy-Superhero fest kind of kid, but there were shows that came up like this one that were just simple fun to watch, and actually improve some with age. It was just a sweet, funny little series about a fat kid growing up in the goofy, charming midwest and his insane but loving father. I marathoned this whole series again in a week, it was like a book you couldn't put down. It's all on Youtube with no official DVD release, so thankfully it's all there to be enjoyed. I loved all the cute little bit with him and the girl of his hyper smitten affections, Jeannie, who like any good female foil tends to be more clever than Louie while still being a solid, caring friend. If you're into quirky family humor, this series is definitely worth a watch, and if you're from the midwest like I am you'll absolutely love the way it lovingly makes fun of our way of life and family culture.
