Chapter 3

Meanwhile, as Junior began to head toward the plains, where he and his friends normally would gather, he contemplated why his father was so upset about his newfound power. Why was he so afraid of it? What was he hiding? He then arrived and saw that his friends were already there. Toto, who is Gamera’s adopted son, Zilla junior, whom everyone just called Zilla, Komodithrax, who is currently in a relationship with Zilla, and Mothra’s daughter, who visits a couple of times every month due to her mother not hailing from Monster Island. He greeted them, and the five teenagers began talking, and Junior caught them up to speed on him and his father’s argument. “Sounds rough” Said Komodithrax, while Toto said “Well, he must have a good reason. Your dad wouldn’t be that worried for nothing.” Mothra’s daughter then said ”I agree. He must have had his reasons. He isn’t afraid of anything, so if this truly does scare him, then this is something we should be concerned about.” Zilla then said “Isn’t it obvious? He’s afraid because you’re more powerful than him with this new ability. He doesn’t want you to surpass him as king of the monsters.” Junior then rebutted angrily “My father wouldn’t do something like that! He’s always told me that I’m destined to be one of earth’s greatest allies!” Zilla replied sarcastically “Yeah, you will, just as long as you have daddy’s permission.” Junior, as well as Toto and Mothra’s daughter, got up and left, disgusted. Zilla was chuckling at his witty reply when Komodithrax stared at him angrily. Zilla then said to her “What, I was just messing with him.” Komodithrax then said angrily “That was just wrong, Zilla! Why would you do that? He came to us for support, and you just mocked him!” Zilla looked ashamed as
he realized how what he had said offended his friend. He got up and said to her “You’re right Komoda, that was a bit below the belt. I’m going to go find him and apologize.” Komodithrax smiled as he left, proud to see that he was doing the right thing. As Toto and Mothra’s larva sat with Junior at the beach, Zilla arrived, only to have Junior quickly get up and yell at him “What do you want!? Come here to make more jokes about my father!?” Zilla spoke meekly “I just wanted to tell you I’m sorry for what I said. My father never was around, so I always had to fend for myself. To be honest, I’ve always been a bit jealous of you. I never wanted anyone would see me as weak because of how my father’s absence would affect me, so I try to act tough, and sometimes I end up hurting the ones I care about most.” Junior then said to him “It’s OK. I forgive you, Zilla.” The two then shook hands as a sign of forgiveness between them.
