Chapter 18
The mechanical doppelganger stood, his optics shooting all across the room, looking at the group afraid. He backed away afraid, claiming “Stay back! I-I’m warning you!” holding out his hands in the hopes of doing something to stop them. Jeikudon said, trying to calm him, “Please, we don’t want to hurt you. My name is Jeikudon. What’s yours?” He then reached out to him, as if to take his hand to help him up. The terrified automaton replied “I...don’t really have one.”, slowly reaching out his hand. He spoke again “Maybe….my name could be…..Jukiro.” Jeikudon asked “Good name. Where did you get it, anyway?” The mecha responded “I ran random syllables of your name through my neural fuse until I managed to create a name for myself that was satisfactory.” Jeikudon then said “Well, considering that your design was taken from what the machine that made you saw, it does make sense. Welcome, Jukiro.” The rest then all greeted him, and they all slowly made their way back to the kingdom. Once there, Jukiro watched Jeikudon with his family and friends, as well as how he managed his kingdom, and he began to have an idea. A strange concept to him, but one that proved to him what he needed to do with his existence. He went to Jeikudon and said “I’ve seen you with everyone else, watching you help them and guide them. I want to have that kind of effect on others. Which is why, I wish to return to where I came from and start a kingdom of my own, and even improve myself, internally and externally.” Jeikudon then said “So, you want to use that machine to create new lives? I believe it is a great idea, and can allow for you to have what anyone would want.” Jukiro then asked “What would that be?” Jeikudon then said “A family, and a people to guide.” Jukiro and Jeikudon then said their goodbyes, and Jukiro returned to the ocean to start his new kingdom. Raikura then asked Jeikudon “Do you think he’ll be able to be a good leader?” Jeikudon then said “If he and I are at least somewhat similar, then he should be able to handle it, considering how I’ve been able to care for everyone.” Raikura then said, nestling up to him “I think he will too. After all, he was inspired by you.” Raikura then kissed Jeikudon on the cheek as the two looked into the sunset. Deep in the mountains, unbeknownst to anyone, Frorigus and Kyomyraxus’s other lackeys were hard at work, rigging up new mechanical parts for Kyomyraxus and an electrical system that would possibly jumpstart his heart and nervous system. The final preparations were made, and Frorigus started the device. The electricity screeched and screamed as it was jolted through Kyomyraxus’s lifeless body. Due to the heat of the electricity melting the ice around it, there was steam all around them. Suddenly, there was motion, and Kyomyraxus’s tails reached out, dragging him slightly. He groaned in exhaustion, trying to pick himself up. Frorigus and the others went to help him, as Frorigus exclaimed “Finally, we can have our vengeance on Jeikudon for slaying you, mighty Kyomyraxus!” Kyomyraxus exclaimed “No! ”, breathing heavily. He said “I am not in the shape to fight against him. Even as I speak, I feel my strength ebb.” Frorigus then asked him, “Well, what will we do, master?” Kyomyraxus commanded “Find someone who is more than capable of finishing Jeikudon himself, or at least wound him to where we can seize power.” Frorigus then said “As you wish, my liege.” He then left in order to find a certain perpetrator who he knew was perfect for the job.
