Chapter 15
Jeykron stood in awe, looking at his long-since-disappeared wife, who now stared him down, seemingly afraid. Marrah sighed in sadness with her head hung down, she then began to speak “I’ve played this scene out nearly a thousand times in my head. I know exactly what you’re going to say.” Jeykron began to move closer, and she began to back up in fear, then she began to speak again “How could you do this, Marrah?” She said, somewhat scared “Right when we were about to start anew? How could you tear our family apart a second time? Right when we were at our happiest?” Jeykron moved close enough that she was nearly pinned against the wall “Please! Yell! Scream! Just speak to me, Jeykron!” She prepared herself for the worst, as Jeykron gently took her face, then lifted it, and he looked into her tear-filled eyes, then saying with tears in his “You’re still as beautiful as I remember you.” He then smiled, giving her a look that told her all was ok. She then wrapped her arms around him as she began to cry into his shoulder in happiness. He hugged her tightly and looked into her eyes, surprising her with a kiss. Myreena looked at Marrah, and said timidly “M-Mom?” Marrah looked at her, and came over to her and said “Myreena, I’m so sorry I wasn’t around to see you grow up, but I can see your father definitely raised you into the beautiful young woman I see now.” Myreena said “Thanks mom” Then hugged her. They all then went back to the kingdom, and Jeikudon and Raikura’s wedding commenced in the following days. Jeykron himself officiated the wedding, taking it to be an honor, and the least he could do for his son. Jeykron then said after the two young lovers said their vows proudly “By the power vested in me as the past king, I pronounce you two husband and wife, and king and queen.” Jeikudon then took Raikura by the waist, dipping her, and the two kissed. Jeikudon, full of happiness then said “I love you, my queen.” Then she replied, her eyes locked onto his “I love you too, my king.”
