Chapter 5
Makeela and Henkuiron arrived back at camp, where she was greeted warmly. The commotion awoke Dogorron, and he saw Jeikudon. He was shocked and said “Jeikudon!? W-what are you doing here! You should be at the palace!” Jeikudon looked at him, confused, and said “Who are you?” Dogorron then said “I’m an old friend of your mother, Marrah. I took refuge here after your parents left, and eventually, through taking in orphans, everything you see here was slowly built up.” Jeikudon then said “Wait, my parents left me? If they loved me so much, why did they leave? Did they even want me?” Dogorron responded “It was because your parents loved you so much that they had to leave you. Trust me, I saw how they were when you were just a babe, they loved you so much. But, enough of that, what are you doing here?” Jeikudon then proceeded to tell him the story of what happened. “We need to get you back to the palace to prove you’re alive. Kyomyraxus must have told the citizens an excuse why you left, so we can prove how wrong he is.” Jeikudon then said “I agree, let’s get back as soon as possible.” Henkuiron then said “That’d take us about 3-4 days at most, mainly to make sure our belongings are well-protected.” In the distance, they heard a shrill, screeching roar. The Hunter had closed in on Jeikudon and the rest. They all prepared for battle and charged at him. He landed and hissed “I’ve come for the boy. The Hunter always hits his target.” Raikura then yelled protectively “Over our cold, dead bodies!” The Hunter rolled his eyes, annoyed, and said “I’ll have to add on a small fee for each of you.” He charged, smacking Hidarius, Migirah, and Raikura away. He felt a sharp pain in his side, and saw Henkuiron launching spines into his hide. He pulled out the bloody spines as Supirokodon lunged forward to cut him with his fins, and The Hunter quickly used his tail to smack him away. He then prepared to bite down on him, but Hidarius and Migirah began to blast him with beams of electricity, while Kotora tried to spray him in the face with her mist, but he blasted it away with his flames. The 7 kaiju began to overwhelm him with their respective beams, then he swung his massive tail, knocking the rest away, while grabbing Jeikudon, tearing a scale off of him, unbeknownst to the 2. He then shot up into the air about to crush Jeikudon. Jeikudon then felt intense anger, and his spines began to glow orange instead of dark red. He then released a massive orange spiral ray from his mouth, blasting The Hunter away from him, and even shooting him into space, where he shrieked, as a sheet of ice covered his body and he froze to death instantly as he struggled for a few seconds, releasing the scale he tore from Jeikudon and allowing it to float through space. Jeikudon then began to fall, as Raikura flew up and held onto him, spreading her wings as parachutes to slow down the fall. Jeikudon then blacked out from the energy expended to use that ability. Next thing he knew, Raikura was gently nudging him to wake up. He then said “Thanks for the save.” She blushed and responded “You’re welcome.” As the two got up and headed back toward the encampment, they saw that everyone was all right, and the camp was in fairly good condition, with no one’s items destroyed, miraculously. As Raikura went to help the others rebuild the camp, Jeikudon asked “H-hey, Raikura?” She stopped “Yes, Jeikudon?” He said “Would you maybe like to..uh.. walk with me tonight near the forest?” Raikura responded “Like a date?” Jeikudon chuckled and said “Y-yeah..something like that.” Raikura then said “I’d love to.” As soon as the other was out of sight, the two each were filled with excitement and happiness.
