very good....so I considered what you said and looked for that category and it does not exist for paintings. I think anything goes for paintings inthe abstract category. Thank you for the info and the ideas.

If I missed conceptual in my search lemme know my friend.

I like how you make the colors work with each other.
Nice tone and texture.
It looks simple in composition, but very technical in style!

Many thanks Goober...indeed, this little painting took me a good long while to create all its little parts. I knew what I wanted it to be and just took my time with each part. In the end, I had an outrageous backache, paint everywhere, and a cramping hand from using a triple 0 brush. It all good though

Amidst the beauty and excitement, very uncertain terrain and a lot that's unseen under the surface. Excellent abstraction. This is, indeed, reminiscent of a first date.

Yes, there is so much beneath the surface, too bad it does not stay there sometimes.

Yes, my last boyfriend had quite a bit that should have stayed under the surface.

hehe....thanks Esther...I would not say it is a style yet since I am still experimenting, but I am having fun with this new adventure in painting. I liked the result of this painting alot though. It is fun and I was smiling as I painted it.

Thanks for these last three works. For me, the trees will always be favourite, but the strangeness of this one is very interesting. Looks to me like sun rising over a strange city, with stranger spirits to greet it.

kaiorton In reply to Muruku [2006-02-10 04:05:23 +0000 UTC]

great interpretation....I had not thought of spirits, although I see them now. I am glad you see the city I wondered if anyone would notice...

I am so happy you like my newer works...I am having fun exploring new techniques and not limiting myself. The trees for me are so much of who I am inside...they will never disappear. I shall eventually paint a forest.

i love these abstract works, there a real test for the imagination, espically with the titles, there like poems of emotion rather than illutrations

I am a rather emotional painter... and I usually write to get emotion out, but have found painting to be equally freeing. Very perceptive you are.

I do sell my work anywhere...although I have not been booking gallery shows much this last year, so I could not say when I would be anywhere near you. I enjoy working on commission and have recently opened a prints account. Let me know if you have something in mind and we can talk.

yes, I guess it is....I usually paint/draw things, but not in am abstract way...I knew what this one would look like exactly before I started...there are alot of inside things....or so I thought. Many people have guessed them, which I think is good. It was a funny little piece...and was fun to paint. I am so glad you like this quirky little painting.

Dances on the left, little conversation bubbles in the middle, a kiss on the right and everything through pink glasses
But under the line? It seems to flow away into the dark. Hm, is this the hard work, one has to put afterwards?

Anyway, I like it It's different, has a funny touch (the easy lines and circles) and the colours are beautiful (though the dark on the bottom makes a sad mood, I think).

kaiorton In reply to allsoulsnight [2006-02-10 04:37:02 +0000 UTC]

Such a wonderful and cute interpretation....this is very much what I was thinking when I painted this...from the conversation to the dark waters below the surface. In all things there is a balance...you are the only one so far to notice the sad/gloomy waters beneath the surface...Indeed I was thinking about a past relationship, its fun times, and all that made it wonderful and eventually end. Life is so funny, isn't it?
