I guess now I'm obligated to draw (and rename or at least modify spelling slightly of) the other monster that shares this name despite being a reptile. All they have in common is being big and masked. That's gonna be a whole big chunk to do, though.
Anyway big impressive birds are cool. I always prefer trying to draw accessories like this mask as if they might be organic.. just because it feels weird to have a definitely removable thing on this kind of animal. On the other hand, if this was earlier in this project, I would have made sure to draw the head underneath as a separate little drawing. I never do that anymore. I should.
