New character who dis? I told myself I wouldn't go any farther than having two active EBC cats in the group this time, buuut Dap temped me and serval ocs are my one true weakness lmao. I'll probably re-draw most of this at some point just because it was thrown together in a semi-rush and I'm not all that satisfied with it, but one smol boy has a lot of plans set out for him.

Just like his father and grandfather before him, Ayden is a trail blazer. He might still be young and small in a world full of sharp teeth and claws just waiting to tear into the inexperienced serval's pelt, but he's anything but timid. His parents could probably count the number of times he's turned away from a situation because he's 'scared' on a single paw, but that's only because Ayden wants to explore every inch his home has to offer! He might prove to be a complete headache for Vulcan when it comes to keeping his son in one place, but there isn't a rock or river that Ayden hasn't offered to explore for his parents. This trait is especially helpful when Ayden eventually gets introduced to fire and its usefulness in crafting helpful items through Vulcan as he gets older.

[o] "Hm...? Hey, wait up! I wanna come, too!"

'Curious' could probably be Ayden's middle name! From the time he could balance himself on all four paws, Ayden's had a knack for wanting to stick his nose into every possible spot his parents could imagine. Normally, this trait would be good thing because exploring gives Ayden a lot of oppertunities to learn about the world around him first hand, but it's also been known to cause the serval a lot of problems, too. Before he realizes where his explorations are taking him, Ayden often ends up in situations where he needs to call for help for his parents. His trouble usually isn't anything too dangerous, but a small cub can't fight off a flock of angry crows himself or claw his way out of a muddy and deep creekbed like Vulcan can. He'll learn someday, but that day definitely isn't now!

[-] "Rrgh, c'mon! This is taking too long, dad! Can't we go find something fun to do instead?"

Though he constantly says he's working it, patience isn't exactly a virture Ayden's mastered yet. If something isn't fun enough to hold his attention or interesting enough to keep his curiosity on a subject piqued, then Ayden hasa habit of letting his attention wander until he's huffing at whatever he was supposed to be doing in favor of finding something more fun. Though on top of his short attention span, Ayden isn't afraid to make sure each and every one of his annoyances are heard either. He's very vocal about what's bothering him, and even though this might be good for when he's sick and needs attention, it isn't so great for everything else.

Background:
Born to a former Empire cat, Ayden's always heard stories of the groups of wild cats that live just beyond his family's small territory. He's also heard legends of the family line he's apparently come from, too; though Ayden hasn't paid much attention to the tales of his grandparents and the struggles they'd gone through to raise an Empire of their own. Living in one big group like Empires do just doesn't seem like something interesting to him. Who needs ranks and skills when Ayden's perfectly fine living with his dad and learning how to survive on their own anyway?

But he'd be lying to himself if the stories of the city hunters and their huntees didn't entertain him some though. Brave and ferocious felines living every day with their lives on the line, protecting the things that matter to them most; to Ayden, that sound just like an adventure in the making! As much as he says he dosn't care, he never seems to turn down a story about the Empires or the hertitage he's come from from his father, Vulcan.

All in all though, Ayden won't leave his father's side and knows the paths toward the Empires or the city hunters that stalk them is strictly off limits until his parents say otherwise. He'd dedicated to his family, and as entertaining and thrilling as seeing one of the Empires for himself would be, he'd rather stick to Vulcan's side and learn what his dad has to offer over getting himself in hot water messing with clan much bigger than his own.

But maybe someday, he'd love to walk in the pawsteps of his ancestors and see the lands his grandparents called their own.
